In 2018 our construction business bought a small parcel of land in Mendota, Minnesota to develop into six lots. While starting the permitting process with the City, we realized there was a very angry neighbor that, at every turn, was adamantly against this development. The neighbor sued our company, us personally, and anyone that had purchased a lot in the new development. We needed wise counsel and hired Seth Neilson to help us navigate getting this project approved with the City. Seth joined us at council meetings, spoke on our behalf at the meetings, and helped us by creating all necessary legal documents to fulfill the requirements of the City. He assisted us with the litigation of some business disputes, all the land development work, and all matters related to the homeowners association. The lawsuit brought against our business was very stressful to us personally. After all, the man was our neighbor, and constantly had it out for us.
