These people don't work or respect citizens' rights. They receive cases and don't process them. When you go to investigate why they don't call you, they don't answer your call. They act as if their salaries come from the private sector and not from the taxes we pay. They mock you to your face. They are disrespectful abusers.

They absolutely refuse to answer their phones.

It would be helpful if someone answered their phones so my husband can finish his intake and maybe get some help. We've called numerous times on Thursday and Friday, and now today but no one answers nor do they call back. It's a shame.

Nothing but the best to say about this organization. Helpful every step of the way. Literally a life saver.

The Legal Sevices are pointless. They don't help with anything. They don't deserve a spot in downtown Utica. It's a gimmick/mirage. They are not free and the legal advice is not there. I wouldn't recommend even asking them for legal help. If you think I'm wrong find other wise please say something. THANKS DONNY

Do not call legal aide for anything, the people who are assessing your first call, act like they care and don’t. && the Lawyer I spoke too, goes by “Chris” she’s a disrespectful person and just fights with you the whole time. She did not care, violated me and was not nice at all.

Joanne was a very inexperienced legal aid whom didn't even understand the 6th and 8th amendment nor understand what a "grace period" was. What an incoherent, delusional, unintelligent, and highly disrespectful woman who even violated my civil rights of vehicular stalking. This is why these legal aid services are worthless, senseless, and feeble. Because these aren't even experienced attorneys with authentic criminal justice degrees. These are unintelligent and moronic people with degrees straight outta a certified salvation army paralegal course. Thats probably why they accept foodstamps, kool aid, and government cheese as payments instead of real cash. Inexperience.

I can't tell you how good or bad..they never returned my call. JUST a front line nurse needed help. The hypocrisy in company's missions and people's souls seems to be without bounds.

Esther Weingarten, Esq. was a horrible attorney from my experience. She was very lazy. She at the time of this review works on the advice line and reused to get me any representation at all because of her attitude and incoherence that I had experienced for my food stamps “fair” hearing and in a previous case not related to government benefits some years back. This old bag deters away from an individual seeking assistance in a case of which the individual seeking assistance is knowledgeable in based on thorough research of the law ahead of contact to this legal office. This old bag has an attitude that she is like a queen and she deters her coworkers to believe she is right (from my experience). She is likely the reason there are many poor reviews on this helpline or whatever you want to call it. I recommend that if you need assistance that you seek it elsewhere, hire a private attorney if affordable and if you are able to be represented, or go without representation. I would give zero stars if I could.

Well me and my fiancée broke up,, I was paying rent 400 a month plus A utility which was 150... this office advised my ex fiancé that was nothing for renting in Clintion.. which the fact was untrue we purchased the house together come to find out the house was solely in her name.. so the closing 6,000 plus 24,000 that I placed into this property all lost ...that’s for giving out information you shouldn’t... when not knowing both sides of stories... maybe ask more questions with less information or input
