I hired attorney Rusty Levin to represent me in my workers’ compensation case, and my experience with his representation was extremely disappointing. During my case, I felt that he did not properly advocate for me. For example, when legal issues similar to the Hikida v. WCAB case were relevant to my situation, I believe my case should have been argued in the same way because the circumstances were very similar. However, I did not see those arguments being raised on my behalf. When I testified in court, the defense attorney repeatedly badgered me on the witness stand, and I do not recall my attorney objecting or stepping in to protect me during that testimony. That experience was very difficult and a nightmare. I also strongly dispute statements that were made about my character during the proceedings. I was described in court as being an alcoholic and a drunk, which I believe was untrue and very harmful to my case. After my surgery, I lost the use of my right hand which is my dominant hand and left with a medical condition called Complex Regional Pain Syndrome which I was paralyzed for 2 years and then lost the use of my right hand for the rest of my life. I will feel excessive amount of pain for the rest of my life cuz it not only affect my hand if it also affect the whole right side of my body and there is no cure for this medical condition. I was evaluated by an AME doctor who rated my disability at 90%. At the time, I was not told about that rating. Later, I was advised by my attorney that the AME report was inaccurate and that the doctor was incompetent, and I was encouraged to see another doctor for an additional evaluation. That second evaluation resulted in a 67% rating. About six months later I learned about the original 90% rating and felt that I should have been informed of it earlier. Eventually my attorney asked the judge to be released from my case in the trial. Because of this, I spent about a year and a half trying to find another attorney while my case was still ongoing. Overall, this experience made an already stressful workers’ compensation process much worse for me. In the end it took 17 to 18 years out of my life. And I was left with only $400 a month for the rest of my life to live off. DO NOT make the mistake I made and thinking that they have your best interest at heart cuz this attorney definitely don't have your best interest at heart. Based on my personal experience, I would advise others to carefully research their options before choosing the Law Firm Levin & Nalbandyan legal representation.

I had two cases with this law firm. My Workers comp and employment. The work comp case was settled in a timely manner. Was happy with the settlement. The employment case was handled horribly. I was never updated on court date changes. They took 45% of my settlement (which I agreed on) but then managed to take another 20k in fees. I ended up with only 77% of my settlement. And when I got that check it was short 2000$. The assistant working on my case was rude. Besides the lack of communication during the process of my case lawyer Viridiana was nice, answered promptly, and kept me updated towards the end of my case. I would read the fine lines of your contract because they take you got everything you get.
