When we first came to see Chris, we got seated on the couch in the lobby of his offices. My spouse and I sat there agitated, scared, and confused about our current financial situation and our current messy reality. We almost got off of that couch and walked out the door once or twice because we felt so immobilized. Thank goodness we stayed a few more minutes to be greeted by Chris's warm welcome. His genuine smile and authentic care immediately put us at ease; he completely assured us that we have every right as a human being on this planet to go through this process. After just a few moments, he helped us take away our shame around this life changing decision, and he gave us so much hope. Chris absolutely loves helping people turn their lives around. He is so passionate about this work. His attention to detail is superb. He is absolutely brilliant. He also has an amazing sense of humor, and it was guaranteed that every time we sat with him, we would learn a lot and laugh a lot -which brought so much lightness and play to a very heavy and dark experience. Chris took so much time with us through email correspondences, phone calls, and in person visits. His humility is palpable and refreshing. When we left his office for our last visit after signing the final bankruptcy papers, I said to my spouse, "I was sad to leave this last visit, because I actually was having fun..." Chris helped me with a Family Matters case and not to get into too much personal detail but after 2 years of not knowing where my son was with his father and not seeing him he helped me locate and properly serve my sons father and stuck with me the entire case from start to finish. If it wasn’t for him I wouldn’t be where I am today and I’ll forever be thankful! His assistant, Melissa is also very sweet and was helpful when Chris wasn’t available to take a call right away.
