Luke helped us resolve a situation when a delivery truck/company damaged part of our property. Mr. Durham promised a lot but as time passed it was apparent he didn’t have the legal expertise to handle the cases and the faulty approach was a waste of time with unreal escalating charges each month with no progress. I pulled one case and gave it to another attorney and without my authorization he tossed over the second case to this attorney thus violating attorney client privilege. I intend to take action to recover several thousands he was paid,.

Previous reviews speak volumes of this man's skills and concern for cases he upholds. He has turned a bleak and dreary, nearly irredeemable case into a hopeful, salvageable one. Without going into too many details, I had to change attorneys and dump their mess onto Luke's shoulders. He had very little time to make adjustments and to absorb the case. This did not deter mister Durham. He took it upon himself to visit places handfuls of hundreds of miles away (out of state) so that he could 'paint a picture' and get the information he needed. He did the work you would expect a phenomenal attorney to do. No stone was left unturned, no possibilities or options had gone unconsidered. He did his absolute best, and hardest work for me. My best interests were - and still are - in his heart. This is why he is my attorney, and why he should also be yours.

It is never "enjoyable" when you have to work with an attorney, but Luke helped mitigate my frustration. He was responsive and concise. He was extremely effective in court which ultimately led to me winning my lawsuit.

Luke Durham offered new a “bargain” to negotiate a settlement in a nuisance case. If he had fulfilled his promises, he would have resolved the case and recovered his fee for me. He did not fulfill his promise and expected additional payment to file a lawsuit. The issue is pending but I will not throw good money after bad. If he can’t use the law and evidence to convince opposing counsel to settle I will not gamble that he would prevail at trial. In fact, It took several weeks for him to answer my questions about the law related to this matter. In my opinion he attempted to negotiate without understanding the relevant law believing that I would pay him to pursue a lawsuit when he failed to deliver on his promises. He has also failed to explain why he failed to deliver the results he promised. His flat fee bargain was a total waste of money.

Knoxville Bar Association referred me to Luke Durham when I was served with a detainer warrant on property that was under (an informal) sale contract to my mother. Heirs of the property owner refused to sell as previously agreed upon and chose to evict me. Luke was willing to take the case last minute, much to my relief. I was very impressed with his credentials. His confidence negated my anxiety. Luke arrived promptly on our court date, while we spent 20-30 minutes awaiting the arrival of the plaintiff's attorney. Luke was able to obtain twice the amount of time that I requested to vacate the property. I am beyond grateful for the referral and to Luke for exceeding my expectations!
