Nura is a wonderful lawyer, she is very knowledgeable and kind. My case was difficult, but she was able to win my case. I am so thankful to her and her team!
Edit: I worked specifically with Nura Lufti. I do not recommend this attorney based on my direct experience with her representation in a Social Security Disability claim. She may have opened her own firm 5 months ago per their response, but she has been in practice longer than that and it is very concerning that she is on her own without supervision given my experience. From the outset, my case was mishandled. During intake, my functional decline and physical inability to work were not properly assessed. Although I explained that I was working only out of survival and necessity, I was never advised that earning above Social Security’s income threshold could result in denial, nor was I informed what that threshold was. As a result, my initial application was denied for excess income, and I ultimately lost approximately 22 months of potential disability back pay. Additionally, why wouldn’t she discuss any help like SSI during the interim? My hands are now deformed and barely functioning because I was ill advised and kept working until my hands were severely injured. Communication and case management were also deeply problematic. Nura once left a voicemail to return her call then sent an email and letter in the mail threatening withdrawal of representation unless paperwork was completed within 10 days, despite Social Security providing a 60-day deadline with ample time remaining. I completed the paperwork immediately and emailed questions with no response. I continued emailing once a week to follow up again with no response. The final week before the deadline I left a voicemail 3x she finally called me back on Friday and that next Monday was the deadline! I explained this all to Nura, she admitted she had not opened or reviewed any of my prior emails and didn’t apologize. She opened the completed paperwork email with me on the phone — despite it having been sent three weeks earlier!!! She stated she would submit it that day. She did not. The following Monday was the deadline, and my case was subsequently denied for “noncompliance.” When I raised these concerns, responsibility was deflected, and I was advised to reapply entirely rather than proceed to a hearing, despite my objection that doing so would cause me to lose years of accrued time on my claim. I was also told that appearing before a judge was not desirable, which was concerning, as a hearing is often a critical part of the disability approval process. This experience resulted in significant delays, multiple denials, and unnecessary harm. My new attorney reviewed all of this information at our very first appointment and clearly explained the process, expectations etc — guidance I had never previously received. Based on my experience, I strongly encourage others to proceed with caution and seek representation elsewhere.

Highly recommend Lutfi law! Thank you!
Nura is a great attorney. As an attorney myself, I never hesitate to refer legal matters to her, especially those pertaining to social security.
