DO NOT USE THIS LAW FIRM. I called for help and the receptionist was rude, unhelpful, wouldn't let me talk with an attorney to ask if they could help me with an important case, wouldn't even let me ask the attorney if they could refer me to someone else that could help me if they couldn't. I've worked in the medical field my whole life helping people and this receptionist is the most UNHELPFUL, COMBATIVE, RUDE, ARGUMENTATIVE, UNPROFESSIONAL person I have ever interacted with. As a mother of 4 children, it became increasingly important to plan for the unexpected. Putting together a will can be an unnerving task, but Amy Matuszak thoroughly explained all the legalese, offered suggestions and made me feel very comfortable with the outcome. I made sure to follow her as a client when she opened her own firm to ensure we have someone we can trust for any future questions regarding this important documentation.

Beyond unprofessional, half the time Amy Matuzak looks like she just crawled out of bed. Very poor communication. Would take weeks to reply. JUST DID NOT CARE. Would not recommend.

Not responsive takes weeks to reply does not do anything that is asked of her. Amy Matuzsak basically took the liberty to make all the calls in a custody dispute case and lost terribly til we asked her to withdraw. Have all the emails that were sent and never received a reply from her. But she sure sends her invoices on time each week. She did absolutely nothing. Feel free to message me for proof of everything she didn’t do and still expects to get paid. Run the other way if you’re a guy fighting for his child with all the proof in the world against the other parent. Basically did all the investigative work for her and she failed terribly.

I highly recommend M & M Law. Attorney Amy took over my case midway through my divorce proceedings and provided exceptional service throughout. She was consistently prompt, thorough in her follow-ups, and always ensured that my preferences were considered in every decision. I had Ellen Matyas as a Guardian ad litem in my divorce from 2021-2022. Despite being a high conflict divorce she prioritized making sure the children had 50/50 placement with both parents. There were some ups and downs, but my attorney was able to work with Ellen and get things done in the best interest of the children. Family court and GALs can be a nightmare for some people, however I feel Ellen is just in her work.

In 2024 I wanted to retire but I was paying $3100 per month in Maintance which was garnished from my paycheck. So I hired an attorney in May to get my maintenance reduced or eliminated I spent $5800 with first attorney who accomplished nothing so I fired him and was going to resolve it myself but it’s far to complicated. I retained Amy a week before my next hearing she rescheduled the hearing 10 days later, and in that time she was able to get my maintenance reduced to $679 per month. I would highly recommend her for any of your legal matters she was very informative and efficient.

I hired Attorney Matuszak to help me with post-divorce issues. She was able to help me correct pretty much all of the issues created by handling my divorce by myself, and to straighten out current issues that had arisen as a result. She is very straight-forward, intelligent, honest with you about what she feels will be the outcome, prompt and responsive, and does not “fluff up” her billing. Her legal knowledge is extensive and by far surpassed the other attorney’s. Attorney Matuszak and her office are professional and friendly! Amy has always thoroughly addressed any questions and concerns we’ve had. Their reputation within the legal community shines and often she’s negotiated an agreement with the other atty before we have to go to court. Amy is fair and level-headed in situations when we often did not respond to the situation similarly; providing the all-needed voice of reason. Hired them for my sons case with his mother and for my stepsons case against his father… won my sons case because his mom is just well not a mom… and when it came time to fight for my step son suddenly communication wasn’t there. They wanted everything to be through email and it would take DAYS sometimes longer than a week to respond. Cannot get ahold of them via phone because they’re always out of the office or on vacation so you get stuck talking to a paralegal named Stacey who literally cannot tell you anything about anything… first court appearance with my son our representation was late after we traveled over 40 mins to be there early to speak to her for the first time to sit in a hallway for 30 mins with no lawyer… then when she shows up she just gave us a quick run down about what SHE was gonna do and then made the excuse that there was no parking when I saw multiple open spots that day… told us we had over 1500$ left so I asked her to pay gaurdian ad litem with said 1500$ and use the rest for the other case. When I told her office lady that she needed to contact me or I was firing them I received an email with notice of her quitting the case because she didn’t like my tone. Extremely unprofessional and the second the case gets to hairy she runs from it and finds a way to lose communication and quit.. DO NOT TRUST THIS LAW FIRM I’m still waiting for the return of the rest of my deposit which she sent to the WRONG address blatantly after we sent her the address… this woman plays with families she is not a good lawyer
