Honesty and Integrity. I could list a plethora of superlatives about Reid Acree as an attorney and as a person, but "Honesty and Integrity" seem to be most apropos to the reason why you, a potential client, are reading this review. You are interested in his performance as an advocate for injured workers. Let me start by saying that, from the initial phone consult onward, Mr. Acree has been to the point, transparent and diligent. He made a point of saying, "This is YOUR case, not mine. I'm just your advocate through the process." The point being that pursuit of whatever outcome you may obtain is to the client's satisfaction, not his. He is certainly no ambulance chaser, nor an indifferent suit with offices in some brutalist architecture inhabiting, unwelcoming corporate firm. He is very hands-on, personal and personable, and gave me individual attention. His demeanor and personality are what most everyone needs in a legal advocate. Frankly, I would go further and say he exhibits the kind of compassionate understanding, level-headed and firm attentiveness to people that everyone needs in their friendships, families, and professional lives. If you work with him, rest assured that he approaches his work, and I daresay Life, with a priority on acting in a principled manner. I know it seems cliche' to say, especially in these times, but Mr. Acree advocates for you with "Do the Right Thing" as an inviolable maxim. As far as how my own case turned out... I am quite satisfied. There were times when things were getting tight financially for me and the process seemed to be a bit tedious, especially considering how I was dealing with a somewhat intransigent and indifferent employer, all on top of an injury that has caused me to make some lifestyle changes to accommodate it. But Reid was always steady as a rock and reassuring, the voice of Reason and experience. That admonition to be patient worked out for me, and my outcome was much better than I anticipated. So, if you are looking for someone to guide you through the Worker's Comp process, I wholly and without reservation endorse Reid Acree. You can try to do it all on your own, dealing with your employer, the state Labor Board and Insurance Commission, filling out legal paperwork and hoping you got it right, dealing with hospitals, doctors, etc. but I doubt you can do it nearly as effectively as you could with good counsel. Reid Acree is that. Spare yourself the headache, anxiety, and subpar results of navigating it yourself, you won't regret it. In closing, let me say I contacted his offices looking for a lawyer. I ended up with a friend.
