What a pleasant and helpful attorney. I stumbled on Andrew while looking for another with the same name and find him very helpful. The other Andrew is now practice in Central Illinois so this Andrew is more convenient for me.

I typically do not write reviews but I felt compelled to share our experience with Alfred Lee who assisted my husband and I will our estate planning late this year. We came to Al through a program benefit my employer offers, AARG Legal. They recommended 5 or 6 attorneys and law firms that participated in the program. I chose Alfred Lee and his firm after looking into his background and education and also with the help of a friend of the family that is an attorney. We could not be more pleased with the service we received from Al and his staff. We have been extremely careful with Covid and social distancing and Al was able to set up sessions for us via Zoom and take care of the entire process virtually. He also took the process of selecting a trust vs a will to an elementary level for us that was easy to understand and very detailed. He was able to answer all of our questions. He was prompt and on time for all of our appointments and made himself available to us whenever we needed a question answered. His staff, specifically Denise Jackowski and Brian Bentrup stepped in as we were wrapping up all the details and documents to complete our trust. They also were responsive and knowledgeable and very easy to work with. They made what we thought was going to be the most tedious part of the process very easy and it was a pleasure to work with them as well. Lastly, we felt that the expense to complete this trust was well within line of other firms we looked at and fair. They delivered a finished binder to us that will be easy for us and others to reference and utilize when needed to either be executed or reviewed. Alfred Lee from PMHL was our attorney for both an estate settlement and real estate transaction relating to the estate. Fortunately he was referred to us by a brother in law who practices law in a different capacity. What was originally perceived as a daunting task for our family went extremely well - from the initial consultation through filings and then closing we never had any problems at all. The firm did exactly as they said they would do, and did it well. We have been happy customers of Pluymert, MacDonald Hargrove & Lee, Ltd for over a decade. Al Lee helped us to set up our trust and estate plans to best suit our wish to protect whatever legacy we leave our children. Al has been proactive over the years in alerting us of necessary updates to our plan as laws have changed over time. We believe that Al has kept us well informed as to how our estate plan will operate, gave us valuable guidance on how to structure the plan, and made it easy to understand the legal aspects. I have also recently worked with Tom Hargrove at the firm on an insurance claim case. We had significant storm damage to our home and needed help to get our insurance company to cover the full repair. As is becoming all too common, the insurance company tried to minimize their payout by having the adjuster insist on covering only small areas of our roof where damage was observed. The adjuster would not accept any of our reasoning for the needed complete replacement. Tom worked to represent us and to make sure our valid concerns were reviewed by the insurance company. The insurance company agreed to cover the needed full repair based on Tom’s representation of our case without the need for court litigation. We were very pleased in our collaboration with Tom and the outcome of his work. Based on the experiences we have had with Al and Tom in both estate and insurance matters, I would highly recommend Pluymert, MacDonald Hargrove & Lee for legal services!

We have been very happy with the services provided by Alfred Lee and Brian Bentrup at this firm. We are retired musicians in our late 70's and legal and financial matters are not our strong points. We wanted to make things as simple as possible for our two children when we passed away so we were looking for the best legal advice and help we could find. We really wished we had known this firm when we were acquiring our business, our experience with them has been so refreshing. That experience was expensive and the work didn't get done properly so we approached additional legal help with some trepidation. With a small business there are any number of smaller things where you would like to make sure about the fine print, often you are willing to do some of the work yourself but you really need someone to look it over and offer advice, without feeling like you have fallen down the rabbit hole! Pat Tauchert and Tempia Courts have been able to do that for us, they give us good advice and we always get what we expect and just a little bit more. They respect our autonomy and we never feel that we are being talked down to. We have had them work narrowly on employee matters, and areas of the law that are particular to our business. They always check to see if there is more that needs to be known and they are always timely effective and a joy to work with.
