I am beyond frustrated. I brought them my case which is solid, they had us pay 250$ for an hour consult. Said they would get back to me saying whether I had a case and that they would follow up to collect info. After emailing them 5 times, leaving two vm, talking to the secretary twice I still haven’t heard anything back from them. It was a complete waste of money and time and extremely unprofessional. Take your business else where.

I paid a $125 case review fee for a consultation with attorney Daniel Williams regarding a federal employment and EEO matter. Unfortunately, it became clear very quickly that my case was not meaningfully reviewed. Despite having spent months compiling extensive documentation and evidence into a binder for review, Mr. Williams did not ask about my evidence, timeline, or what had actually occurred. He frequently interrupted me, and I often had to repeat myself multiple times because I was misunderstood or cut off before finishing my thoughts. This made it extremely difficult to communicate clearly and feel heard. Mr. Williams made dismissive comments about disability, including stating that I “didn’t look disabled,” and repeatedly put me in the position of having to justify my disability and explain why commuting exacerbates my symptoms. Rather than asking relevant legal questions, the tone of the consultation felt confrontational and belittling. When I referenced the amount of preparation and research I had done, including compiling detailed evidence and reviewing comparator case information, Mr. Williams made condescending remarks about “Google searches.” I found this particularly offensive. I am a doctoral candidate and am well versed in conducting evidence-based research and reviewing case files. Much of the groundwork for understanding this case had already been done prior to the consultation, yet none of it was meaningfully engaged with. Additionally, the consultation itself was difficult to engage in due to constant interruptions and excessive coughing throughout the meeting, which Mr. Williams attributed to something “going down the wrong pipe.” Regardless of the cause, the ongoing coughing and interruptions significantly disrupted communication. Given that I have a disability that makes processing conversation under these conditions difficult, this further contributed to feeling unheard and dismissed. The discussion shifted quickly to billing at $400 per hour or potential contingency representation later, without any substantive legal analysis of my facts. The consultation felt transactional rather than advisory. I do want to note that the office staff was incredibly kind, welcoming, and professional. The staff member I interacted with (I am not sure of her exact role) was courteous and supportive, which made the contrast with the consultation itself even more apparent. I left feeling dismissed and attacked rather than advised. If you are a federal employee seeking knowledgeable, respectful representation in employment or EEO matters, I would strongly recommend seeking counsel elsewhere.

Dan Williams was great. He helped me win my unemployment appeal and was very professional. He was great at guiding myself and my witness through the process and responded quickly to my questions. Thank you Dan.

My experience seeking a severance package review from Magid & Williams was disappointing. The lawyer seemed more interested in speaking at me than listening to my concerns, making assumptions that showed a lack of genuine engagement. While his legal knowledge is evident, his poor listening and relationship development skills were a significant issue. Due to this experience, I would never retain his services. I value a lawyer who can connect and understand individual situations. I wouldn't recommend him and have shared my negative experience with others. This review might catch him off guard as I didn't feel he was receptive to feedback during our meeting. I wish him the best, and his staff was truly amazing. Great work Sherry.

Highly recommend. The team guided me through the process of how to handle my circumstance on my own, and was there to support me every step of the way. I felt very comfortable using them and will always suggest their team!

Let me start off by saying that I have NEVER retained or worked with an attorney in my life (I am 43) and was not sure what to expect. This entire situation had me blindsided and I knew I needed to retain an attorney. I am so thankful that I reached out to Dan Williams for my employment issue. Dan is skilled, doesn't beat around the bush and knows the law, but is also so incredibly compassionate and above all else, treated me like a human being! I never felt unprepared and he did his best to give me as much knowledge as possible before we collaborated on decision making. He always answered my calls and emails, and fought for me which I am so grateful for. I am the type to ask a ton of questions and he never cut me off which was refreshing. Yes he is the expert but also understands we are on the same team. He made a traumatic situation way less intimidating and I was able to fully trust him with the outcome which turned out in my favor. I would not have been able to do this without him. I cannot recommend Magid & Williams enough.

I cannot recommend Magid & Williams highly enough for anyone seeking an exceptional employment law attorney. Their expertise, dedication, and professionalism were evident from the very first consultation. Mr. Williams took the time to thoroughly understand my case, provided clear guidance, and advocated for my rights with confidence and skill. He was very responsive, keeping me informed every step of the way. I am beyond grateful for his support. If you need an employment lawyer, who truly shows their clients compassion and care, give them a call.

I filled out a contact form online requesting an email. Received a call not even 10 minutes later (not an email as requested). $150 to have them even review your case so unfortunately I can only review them on their contact, not court skills.

I had a very good experience with Len Magid. I found that their firm prides themselves on their integrity. They take an approach of transparency and education to outline the possible actions and outcomes in order to let me, the client make the most informed decision. I would highly recommend considering them for any employment related legal actions you may take.

This is a consultation review. I am not the prospective client, but a family member assisting a prospective client. I will update this review to reflect our experience as-appropriate in the event we work with Daniel Williams. A family member had a consultation with Daniel Williams yesterday I was present for. Like most, our legal matter has been hugely stressful for us. Daniel presented himself as competent and professionally compassionate, which is exactly what we needed. My family member felt heard and reasonably validated after a lot of negativity faced elsewhere. We left feeling empowered and like we understood our current situation decently.
