Five Stars! 6 if available! I am a member of the I.B.E.W. the international brotherhood of electrical workers. I was injured in 2011. I was seriously hurt while working on the job. I thought that the "brotherhood" was going to take care of me. The IBEW has their own system for handling injured workers. Toward the end of their system, I was offered $75,000 to say thank you and goodbye. This injury was such that I could never again return to work, instant retirement. While going through the alternative dispute resolution process, I was informed that I should seek counsel with Lawrence Stern esq. Since our first meet the wheels began to roll and in the early part of 2021 approximately 9 1/2 years later I ended up with a lifetime retirement, a lump sum of cash, which was many times more than the original $75,000 and a friend. I seriously don't even know where to begin with this. When I first began looking for a Workers Comp (WC) attorney, Mallery & Stern were referred to me by individuals I hold a very high opinion of. I worked as a Law Enforcement Officer (LEO). During my initial meeting, I met with Mr. Lawrence (Larry) Stern. It was myself and my wife. I sat down with Larry and he asked me what all I was experiencing injury wise and how long I had been employed in my field. Larry showed a lot of understanding and compassion towards me and my wife. Larry holds his clients in high regard. Larry told me he could help me and I had work to do as well by completing all documents in a timely manner and as accurately as possible. Larry worked swiftly and had me seen by doctors and had all MRI's and necessary medical work completed fast. You need to be patient through this process as WC is very slow and will attempt to deny everything even when they accept responsibility for your injuries. This is where Larry is invaluable to you. The man is like a bulldog and will fight for everything you should be entitled to because WC will do their best to not give it to you. My particular case took some time but without Larry on my side and him fighting for me every step of the way WC would have not given me what I was truly entitled too, they don't have you in your best interest . Mr Stern has been instrumental in me receiving adequate compensation for injuries I received in the construction industry. I have comfortably been retired since 2000. Representative that returned my call ..spoke real fast ..stated the stress im under is not directly work related..how is that when your on a leave of absence and hospitalized then come home to no pay even though u have ADA accomodations..vacation and sick time that should have been paid? He was very unprofessional...will not recommend this attorney ever!
