Mr. Maningo was my court appointed attorney. I left a message every single day for 3 weeks after he was appointed with no return phone call. I gave up. An attorney from his office (Brett Harris) handled my case. At the time of my charge, I was a 51 year old grandmother who had never been in any sort of legal trouble prior. I didn't know what to expect or ask for. I finally got a call from Kelly in his office (not a lawyer)-9 months after, to let me know that court was going to be postponed. Again. (My 3rd court date) Trial date set for 3 more months later, show up only to find out, paperwork hadn't been filed on my lawyer's end. I requested a motion to dismiss and was laughed at by the attorney from his office. The city made an offer, I was given such pressure to accept this 'sweetheart' deal. The allegations against me were totally false and I continued to turn the deal down. 15 months later after maintaining my own innocence my case was finally dismissed, without prejudice, with no thanks to Mr. Maningo's firm. I never once met or even spoke to him. I was completely undeserved and overlooked. This was completely mishandled and took 15 excruciating months to finally end. I'm still scarred, 6 months after dismissal. I suggest finding another firm if you want open communication and good representation.
