Mark is a great attorney! First problem I had was getting approved for SSI after having open heart surgery and several strokes during my recovery. Mark was able to get this done extremely fast without any further delays by trying to do it myself. Second issue was a workers comp claim I have been dragging out for my shoulder. Now that I had some time to have surgery on it, WC denied it. Mark was able to negotiate with my previous employer and got me a settlement with enough to pay for the surgery. Being injuried really changes your life ,you can't do what you used to be able to do and it sucks.Plus sometimes company's act funny alot and don't treat ya well either so getting a lawyer like Mark makes perfect sence. Companies don't know what you go thru in life ,like things you need to get done but maybe now you can't. I want to start by saying how truly fortunate I feel to have found Mr. Newman to represent me in my workers' compensation claim. Over three years ago I incurred a work-related injury and have since then lived in severe pain and underwent multiple back surgeries. Although the injury has left me with severe chronic pain/nerve damage and permanent physical limitations I feel blessed that since obtaining legal representation with Mr. Newman I no longer have the stress or mental anguish of having to deal with ESIS the Third Party Administrator (TPA) for Workers' Compensation my employer at the time of injury uses to manage claims. Part of the reason I put off obtaining legal representation for as long as I did was dreading the overwhelming search of finding the right attorney. From the beginning there seemed to be a difference from other law firms; Mr. Newman's website was not so much geared towards the solicitation of clients, but instead offered a wealth of information regarding workers' compensation and what to expect. After reading all of the information I was convinced Mr. Newman was the attorney I wanted to reach out to, this is a decision I have never regretted. Trying to deal with the workers' compensation TPA on my own was a nightmare and I rarely got any cooperation even though all I was asking was that my medical bills be paid. At the time of my finally deciding to seek legal representation it had gotten to the point that the workers' compensation TPA was not even responding to attempts at communication, completely ignoring me and the healthcare providers who were trying to get approval for my surgeries and treatments. Mr. Newman took over my claim and refused to accept the noncompliance of the workers' compensation TPA and was determined to hold them accountable. He immediately began to work diligently on my case gathering all medical records and researching my claim thoroughly to familiarize himself. He filed the numerous necessary motions with the Ohio Industrial Commission to get the needed diagnosis added to my workers' compensation claim as well as the motions needed for me to get the proper medical treatment/therapy/pain management. He's gotten me reimbursement for expenses I was out and monetary compensation for the time I have been unable to work as a result of my injury. Mr. Newman did a phenomenal job at presenting my case at every Industrial Commission Hearing and each motion was decided in my favor. I have had nothing but positive outcomes since Mr. Newman has been involved. Throughout everything he has included me in the decision making process. He has taken the time to listen and answer any questions or concerns I've had and kept me informed of any proceedings in my claim/case. Aside from his professionalism as an attorney I believe him to be a man of integrity who is honest, trustworthy and truly cares about his clients well-being. My only regret is that I didn't seek Mr. Newman's legal representation sooner than did as I could have saved myself a lot of mental and physical anguish as a result of prolonged medical treatment I was much in need of.
