It’s been years since Mary Perry represented me and she did a fabulous job. She told me exactly what was going on the entire time even when it wasn’t looking good. In the end we prevailed. When I first started thinking about applying for disability everyone told me it would be a long and difficult process, and chances of approval were slim. As a neuromuscular condition person, who was told by a nurse practitioner at my neurologist office, “you don’t use a wheelchair, so Social Security will never approve you for disability” and “I should know, I hear about our very ill patients being rejected all the time”, I was understandably not optimistic about applying for Social Security disability, until I met with Mary Wilcox-Perry! When you are so sick that you can hardly make it through a day, let alone have to apply to one of the most complex systems the government has (SSD) you feel there is hope!
