I wasn’t sure what to do after sustaining a workplace injury, but I was referred to Jon Char at Mastagni Holstedt to handle my workers’ compensation claim. Jon called me directly and walked me step by step through the entire process. My claim initially seemed straightforward, and Jon was able to negotiate a strong settlement amount. Just as we were preparing to finalize everything, I received a large invoice for post-surgery physical therapy totaling several thousand dollars. I was concerned because the worker’s’ comp was refusing to pay, and it appeared this could delay or complicate the settlement. Jon quickly stepped in and arranged a lien conference to address the issue. Before the conference even took place, the lien was successfully resolved between the workers’ comp and the healthcare provider. Ultimately, my case was fully settled within 18 months of my surgery. For motor vehicle accidents, I would not recommend using them. I’m not sure how they perform in other areas, but in this specific type of case, the experience has been very poor. Attorneys come and go, and if the case isn’t considered “big enough,” it gets dragged out unnecessarily. If that’s the approach, it raises the question of why they would take the case in the first place.

My daughter was injured at work, hit by a forklift. At first the WC doctor seemed good until she told them her arm was also hurting. She has been off work for over a month with no pay and has not been seen or treated by a WC doctor. She is in extreme pain at all times. She called this firm, the intake person took her info for an attorney to review. No attorney contacted her, instead she was sent a letter in the mail stating they were not taking her case. Horrible customer service, I'm guessing they didn't see enough dollar signs!!!

They don't care about helping you, just money

Byron Danell. it does not matter where you go and which law firm you join, I will never forget how you took advantage of me. you took $3,000 from me with no retainer, did not represent me properly. then used pure profanity at me. then you came to my home telling me that you were wrong. you were hurting for money and did not know how to handle my case. you did not even prepare. when you sat in the court room with me , that was when you took out your yellow note pad asking me to tell you again what happened. and according to you, you were scared of the criminals/gang member who were terrorizing me in my home of almost 16 years. you are incompetent , unprofessional and should not be in possession of a law license. you are only operating on title and prestige. And an old u-tube video from several years ago. you have no shame. when I asked you to return my money, you cursed me even more
