Highly recommend Taylor Moore and this firm. Taylor was hired for my civil litigation case over two years ago. The outcome was even better than I ever expected it to be. I am grateful for her hard work and patience as it was a very long process. Her dedication and knowledge was made clear early on in the process and I am thankful for her patience during one of the most challenging times of my life. Communication was excellent, I never had to wait long for responses or answers to my many questions. Erika was also a great help to me with documentation and responses and very much appreciated. It was easier knowing you have knowledgeable people on your side who will put in the work for your case, even if it means going in on your day off due to time sensitive matters. I always felt they had my best interest at heart and will always be grateful for Taylor and her team.

I hired Matthew Harris for my divorce and custody of children and it was the best decision I could of made. My only regret is not hiring Matthew from the beginning I went through 2 attorneys and wasted my time on them. I thought I would not find a good lawyer until I hired Matthew. His team is quick to respond to phone calls, emails, messages. He is also very professional and highly experienced. Matthew and his team make you feel like you are their only client even though they have several other cases and they fight hard for you. I will forever be grateful to Matthew and his entire team. If I ever need a lawyer in the future it will only be Matthew Harris!

Laura,

Thank you so much for taking the time to share this! Your words truly mean more than you know.

Cases like yours are some of the most stressful and personal legal matters anyone can face, and it was an honor to be trusted with something so important. I am especially grateful that you recognized the work and dedication of our entire team—they care deeply about our clients and it means a lot for you to specifically recognize their efforts.

I am glad we were able to step in, fight for you, and bring this difficult chapter to a close. Also, it really helps when we have a client as easy to work with as you were! It was apparent how dedicated you were to your children and how you always found a way to put them first.

We wish you nothing but the very best moving forward, and we will always be here for you. ❤️

—Matthew

The day I was blessed with the Lubbock County Judge removing ALL THE ASSISTANT CRIMINAL AND COUNTY ATTORNEYS from The Lubbock County Courthouse on March 4th 2024 it was because I had been reviewing MHL videos on You Tube then emailed the Lubbock County and City government to inform them I was taking my Service Animal up to the Lubbock County Courthouse for a sniffing exercise and to please remove anyone from the courthouse that my dog will smell their bad intentions against. Today MHL front desk receives my emails because with the MHL videos I wouldn't have known how to defend my self in court. Thank You MHL!

Refuse like all other local attorneys to go against the city of Lubbock.

Response from owner

Andy, could you please give me a call? I think there's been a miscommunication. I hope to hear from you soon. --Matthew

I highly discourage this attorney. What he charges is astronomical and he makes the client do the work. In addition, he does not prepare client for court. I went with my daughter-in-law before court and he was eating lunch and would not let us in and made us wait outside. He finally let us in ten minutes before court and I asked him when he was going to prepare her and he just said she needed to answer the questions. As many court hearings and depositions I have been to, I have never ever gone to one where your lawyer did not sit with you to prepare you for court. Every dime spent on him was a waste of money. He did NOTHING to help her get her children back. He sucked her dry for money for 7 years and unfortunately, we went off of his reviews to retain him. Do NOT use this lawyer. These are facts that can be backed up. I have to give one star because Google is forcing me. Adding to my review. He must forget I flew to Texas to help her with her hearing. We did not arrive early. We arrived in time for the hearing. He did not prepare her. When she got on the stand, opposing counsel kept asking her to stop looking at Matthew for answers. That is because she was not prepared. Good lawyers prepare their clients for court hearings and depositions. He absolutely did not do this. He also was not prepared. He can say all the things he likes in the rebuttal, but I was there. I saw it. I lived it with them. Doing some work, sending documentation is not the issue. What she won, was done by her. My experience is not just with Matthew. There is a lot to compare to and he does not cut it. A guarantee was not expected from anyone. If this honest review helps anyone, you are already ahead. Save your money. Talk is all you will get here.

Response from owner

I'm sorry to hear that you were dissatisfied with your daughter-in-law’s experience, although I must respectfully correct several inaccuracies in your review. We take great pride in advocating for our clients with diligence, preparation, and professionalism — values reflected in the many positive reviews we've received over the years.

In the time that I represented your daughter-in-law, I fought tooth and nail for her because I believed in her and knew in my heart that she was a good mother and the best parent for her children. Without complaint, I worked nights, weekends, holidays, and even while out of state on vacation fighting for her and her children. Her cases literally kept me awake at night because of how much I cared for her family.

After a SUCCESSFUL appeal in one of her matters, it’s baffling to hear the claim that I “did nothing” to help. Those who practice in this area understand how rare and difficult it is to reverse a trial court ruling on appeal — especially in family law.

Out of respect for confidentiality, I won’t go into the full scope of the work that was done or the legal reasons for our success. But rest assured, I gave everything I had to the representation and I'm proud of what we accomplished during my representation.

We do not ask clients to "do their own work," but rather encourage them to participate meaningfully in their own legal matters — a necessity in family law, where testimony and facts often come directly from the client. Additionally, asking clients to organize their sometimes thousands of pages of evidence into folders helps reduce their legal fees as it is obviously more expensive for me to have to do it. Legal representation is a team effort, especially in family law cases.

As for courtroom preparation, we meet with all of our clients prior to hearings to discuss the issues, expectations, and likely questions. Many years ago, my office only had 1 person sitting at the front desk, and our office was closed from 12-1 pm every day so that person could have lunch. Had I known before now (5 years later) that you were upset that you had to wait outside because you’d arrived early to a meeting, I would have apologized sooner. Obviously, due to confidentiality, I can’t reveal the frequency and duration of our prep time with your daughter-in-law prior to hearings, but she and I know that she was prepared as she did excellent every time!

Family law cases are complex, emotional, and often prolonged due to factors outside any attorney’s control. We do everything in our power to support our clients, but no attorney can guarantee a particular outcome, especially when the court’s focus is on the best interest of the child.

I cared, and continue to care, deeply about your daughter-in-law because she’s a wonderful mother who has built a terrific life in the face of overwhelming difficulties. That’s the reason I continued my representation through all of these years; and I believed in her as I still to today.

I wish that I could financially afford to continue to represent her without payment because of how much I adored her tenacity and kindness. She endured more than a mother should have to endure, yet she continued to remain strong in the face of such adversity. I admire her strength as many would not have continued to fight for as long as she has.

I respect your right to express your opinion, but I strongly disagree with your characterization of our services and our level of commitment to our clients.

Adding to my response. I recall you attending one of the MULTITUDE of hearings we attended. Not all of the preparation time I spend with clients is in-person in the 30 mins prior to the hearing. I spend hours on the phone in the days/weeks leading up to hearings to prepare clients. For that opposing counsel, it had nothing to do with her looking to me for answers as that is a common trial tactic he employs to rattle witnesses. Again, due to confidentiality, I can't fully respond.

Mr. Harris is very knowledgeable about the cases in his field and his paralegals are top-notch. I have never had a problem when contacting Mr. Harris’s law firm and getting what I need to know we’re getting things done. I recommend Mr. Harris to all of my friends in the Lubbock area who needs his assistance.

Matt and his team are amazing! He has gone above and beyond for me and so many others! I would like to add, there was this terrible person named Michael harassing me, and Matt and his team took care of the problem! I haven’t heard from Michael in a very long time!

This gentleman gives out advice as a professional in areas he is not specialized in.

Response from owner

Did you seriously come here to leave a negative review because you didn't like our YouTube video with Cart Narcs? There's no such thing as Shopping Cart Law to specialize in. lol

You do know that we handle more than just Divorce cases, right? We handle Personal Injury, Business Formations, CPS Defense, Estate Planning, Landlord Tenant, Civil Rights, Employment, and dozens of other types of cases.

If you were offended because I said that it is not "harassment" under the law for someone to tell you to return your shopping cart, then that's a YOU problem. Call the feelings police. 🤣

Matthew and his team stood behind me literally during one of the most stressful times in my life. I wouldn't have wanted anyone else representing me or helping prepare me for trial. They really do strive to put your mind at ease throughout the process. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

To say I was happy with Mattew Harris is an understatement. He was so thorough and made things so simple and easy to understand. We will be quick to do business with him again! I have used attorneys in the past who I have left a bad review, so trust me when I say I know he is a great attorney. Not only do we believe he went the extra mile he was so down to earth and we could tell he truly cared about our interest!
