I had a misdemeanor and thought myself, let me look on google and see if I can find out a good lawyer. I looked and saw for this Lawyer with good google review. I thought, looks like he is a good lawyer. That was the worst lawyer I ever had to hire in my life. I brought my case to him, even paid half in advance and before the pre/trial I already had paid everything. Matthew Nebeker never set down with me to help me with my case. I went to his office about 5 times to be able to have a meeting with him and I never got a called back before the pre-trial. The only time he talked to me was when we went to court and after he talked to the procecurer in an office at court . Looked like he never had the time to read my case, he asked me if I wanted to go to trial, that’s an answer that he as a lawyer shouldered tell me if we should go to trial, that’s why I hired him, to give me advices and help me with my case. I had all the documents to prove I was not guilty and even left all the copies with his secretary. He probably didn’t even put any effort to read my case. I had copy of the person who called the cops asking the cops to drop charges. Dont judge people by its cover . I have master degree and it will be hard to find a job. Giancarlo .

Matthew L. Nebeker is an excellent criminal lawyer in Davis County. He also does traffic and he has represented friends and family alike very successfully. His fees are very reasonable and I highly recommend him. Do not hesitate, he could possibly save you hundreds.

Possession of marijuana is what my original charge was, then the prosecutor added a charge of driving with a measurable amount of a controlled substance. I was not sure what the charge was so I called Mr. DUI. He told me It was almost like a DUI, but not. I knew I needed help. I did not want to lose my drivers license for six months for having a small amount of marijuana in my possession and in my system, nor did I want to be on probation and have to take a bunch of classes. Mr. Nebeker was able to avoid all of that for me. All I have to do is stay out of trouble for a year and all of my charges will be dismissed and I will keep my clean record. It will be like as if nothing ever happened. I was surprised that he was able to get such a great resolution to my case. Fine stars to Mr. DUI!

I was amazed when Mr. Nebeker came out of the meeting with the prosecuting attorney. I was almost in tears, because I was so worried about going to jail. I did not receive any jail time, nor was I placed on probation. He worked a deal were the case would be closed as soon as I paid my fine. I am trying to join the military so I needed my case closed as quickly as possible. Even though I am not in the military or even a veteran, Mr. DUI gave me his military discount. I could tell he really cared about me and my case.

Very knowledgable and professional, I would highly recommend. I was more than triple the limit on my DUI. Mr. DUI found the loopholes and got my case reduced and saved my license. He was easy to work with, communicate with, and had a payment plan that worked for my budget. His staff is very friendly and helpful as well. Overall I ad a great experience working with Mr. Nebeker

I was convicted of a 3rd Degree Felony for Attempt to Distribute and Controlled Substance. I was living with a boyfriend. He was selling marijuana. Yes, unfortunately I knew and since it was just marijuana. I wasn't all too worried. I went with him since we were planning to go somewhere afterwards. He put the marijuana in my purse and made me count the money. Harmless right? Nope. I was pretty much an "accomplice" at this point. Booked a night in jail and thought Matthew Nebeker would help me. I was a full time student at SLCC and full time employee at AFCU. That changed after this situation. I was diagnosed with depression and anxiety. I am a good person. I run a fb group known as UTACURAZINE. We do donation drives to the humane society, road home and utah food bank. We also did car meets to donate blankets, sweaters etc during the winter for the homeless. This was on my own time and I did volunteer work at the humane society as well. That was not enough for Judge Dale to believe I was a good person. I have complied with every court date. I lost my job at AFCU and finding a different job with only experience with Customer service and having a felony. Was nearly impossible. I went from being a Teller to a Delivery Driver for an app. This was my first offense. I am only 22. I did my absolute best. All for just being at the scene and knowing what Jon was doing made me a drug dealer. I did not weigh the marijuana, bag it or anything. I did not deal with the undercover cop to set up times to meet up. I was not the one who was supposed to be in question. I was not the drug dealer. BUT during sentencing. Matt did not stand up for me. All he said was that I was a student and worked. THATS IT NONE OF MY VOLUNTEER WORK WAS NOTICED. I EVEN HAD THE PAPERWORK FROM ALL PLACES WE DONATED AND PHONE NUMBERS. Unfortunately, I was sentenced to 60 days home confinement. 2 years probation and 100 hours community service. WHICH WAS WORSE THAN WHAT JON WAS SENTENCED WITH. THE ONE IN QUESTION THE DRUG DEALER WHO EVEN ADMIT HE WAS THE ONLY ONE WHO WAS INVOLVED. Jon was only sentenced to 3 years probation and 60 days home confinement. With being on good behavior that probation time can be cut in half. So technically myself 1 year probation and Jon 1 year 6 months probation. How is that even possible? When it was my time to speak. I told the Judge everything about me. From being involved with the community. Even had a car meet ready to go clean up graffiti in the parks. I told him I was going to school and was almost finished. I am a good person to everyone around me and was a hard worker. I told him about where I've donated and even wanted to show him the papers for proof. Till he told me that he did not believe a word I said. He believed that I did have part in this. And according to all the paperwork he did not believe me. He said if I keep the mindset of not wanting to take blame. I would not be able to accomplish through probation. HIS LOSS THOUGH. My probation officer is amazing and even told me that I shouldn't of been sentenced so harshly. He was surprised they actually sentenced me at all. I am almost finished with probation and my po noticed my service. After we finished sentencing. I told Matthew that Jon did not get community service. Why did I? His answer, "Well, you do community service anyways right?" TERRIBLE I COULD NOT BELIEVE WHAT HE TOLD TO ME. Now he is suing me for the money that I owe him which is around 3k. Would you pay 3k to a lawyer who didn't even do his job? Nope and I won't. I don't care send it to collections. At least Jon's lawyer stood up for Jon and even argued his case. Matt was only paid to be there. If you have anything worse than a DUI I would suggest going somewhere else. I thought he can help me. I already have no money for the court fines, restitution, home confinement my cost of living etc. BUT HE HAS THE AUDACITY TO BELIEVE I HAVE MONEY FOR HIM? NOPE.

I hired Mr. DUI because I had received a DUI and wanted to save my drivers license. My DUI was a first offense and so it was only a Class B Misdemeanor. I was also charged with Drug Possession and Drug Distribution because I had several pounds of spice in my vehicle, the distribution charge was a felony. Mr Nebeker said I had a lot more to worry about than my license with the felony charge. He explained that any drug conviction will cause me to lose my drivers license for up to six months, which was longer than they would take if for if I was convicted of the DUI. All of this was very complicated and confusing to me but Mr. Nebeker took the time to meet with me and was very nice and made it make sense for me. I originally hire him to save my license and he made that the focus of my case. Had I lost my license I would have lost my job, which would have caused me to loose everything. My case was more about drug charges than DUI, but that didn’t affect Mr. Nebeker and his representation. If you are in trouble do not hesitate to call Mr. DUI for any type of charge.

I was so scared because I was charged with a felony DUI because had some prior driving under the influence charges. I had never hired an attorney to help me, but I was worried because this last one was a felony. After my consultation with Mr. Nebeker I felt that he understood how afraid I was of being convicted of a felony, and doing jail time, so I hired him. He explained to me that one of the first things he would do is look at my prior convictions to make sure I was properly advised. He was not the cheapest attorney, but my felony was reduced down to a misdemeanor and I did not do any jail time. Well worth the money spent.
