Kent Mayeux condo flooded my kitchen in the condo next to his. He agreed to repair it.Then he discovered that the right side of the kitchen had mildew while fixing the left side.He called me and said he would have the right side gutted and replace the Sheetrock. He asked me to buy the cabinets for that side and new countertops for both side. I agree. I paid him in full. The cabinets are too big. The dishwasher won’t fit. He cut the sink hole too big for the sink and when he mounted the countertop he didn’t level it and it flows to the back. If this isn’t bad enough he splashed paint and Sheetrock mud through out the entire apartment on my brand new floors. I am just an elderly person living on social security. He had taken advantage of me.
I had previously worked with another attorney, but things weren’t progressing the way they should have. That’s when I reached out to Kaitlin Mayeux—and I’m so glad I did. Mayeaux represented me as her client. She is a very incompetent and unsuited attorney. She was ill equipped to do her job. My husband paid his attorney and my attorney for this divorce and she did whatever my husband said to do. What was the purpose of me paying her my money to represent me when she was just on one side of the field. I was her client and she never stood up for me. Every time she emailed or a texted it was always you need to take what you can get out of this divorce. When I push back with her she decided to step down. And, somehow Mayeux spoke with the judge and was free from paying any of the money back to me. When attorney’s steps down from a case they supposed to give you half or some of your money back.( She had a way of twisting the judge’s hands ) I never received spousal support my husband said he would pay. She would text the wrong court dates so that I would miss it and it would be in my husband’s favor. Every time a court date was set I had to double check to make sure it was correct and that meant calling down to the courthouse every time we had to appear in court. The judge couldn’t read some of the information that Mayeux written in the computer about my husband and I divorce case. she’s a very rude attorney and she pretends to be on your side but it’s all about the money with her. I believe you REAP what you SOW whether it’s in a professional setting or a personal setting if you don’t do right by the people that you serve. Please be aware of this attorney, she is definitely a piece of work.

Strung along the entire time. Never did what she was paid to do. My husband and I wasted over 6 grand and still ended up seeking new representation. We would show up to court wait on her to arrive and when she would get there she didn't have 2 words to say to us. Spent a year trying to get the services we paid her to do. Might need some more experience bc in front of the judge she was tounge twisted. SEEK HELP ELSEWHERE! BEWARE! And yes she represented my husband with my money and was very disrespectful totally ignored him as a client in court a few times! You live and learn!
I am not, nor was ever representing you as your attorney. Your husband was fully informed about the issues surrounding his case. I promptly appeared in court at every rule date, and there was never an instance where your husband was waiting on me to arrive. Lastly, my representation ended due to non payment by your husband. You are also highly mistaken on the amount of attorney fees paid to my office. Had my attorney fees been paid, the case would have quickly resolved. Thank you for your input.
