I'd give 10 stars if I could. I was stopped for a DUI and hiring Mr. McCabe was the best decision I could have made. He helped me in every step of the process, and was able to get my charge dropped down to a much lesser offense after working with the DA. He is always responsive, answered all my questions, and very professional. He is definitely an expert, and if you find yourself facing a DUI charge, I strongly recommend Mr. McCabe. Every case is different, but I can tell you this: I was shocked when he called and told me the deal he brokered with the District Attorney's office. Mr. McCabe made that happen. Chad McCabe defended a friend of mine who was unjustly accused of driving under the influence. (The law officer claimed she was acting jumpy, but her breath and urine tests showed she was not under the influence of alcohol or drugs.) The officer pulled her over because she had a small dreamcatcher on her rearview mirror. The officer told my friend that “you shouldn’t have that hanging from your rearview.” State law does not prohibit dreamcatchers. It DOES prohibit objects that obstruct your view, and this one was very small and almost transparent. It was no more of an obstruction than the rearview mirror itself. Chad filed a motion challenging the officer’s reason for pulling my friend over, and a judge ruled in her favor. The case was dismissed. Throughout the process Chad was friendly and professional, answered my friend’s questions, and kept her apprised of what was going on. He also has obvious expertise in DUI defense. I would recommend him unreservedly.
