We used Julie McCarthy recently for an I.R.S. debt that my boyfriend was struggling through. Julie picked up the phone right away the first time I called, and although we had not retained her yet and she did not even know me, she provided a large amount of detailed information about the situation to help us gain clarity and direction. He ended up retaining her at a later date because she provided an excellent first impression, and throughout the process, she was incredibly responsive at replying to our emails quickly, and always being available when we called or set up conference calls. She is warm and friendly, extremely knowledgeable, patient and helpful, and took a process that was difficult to understand down to a level that was easy for us to grasp. I would highly recommend Julie and this firm, and would not hesitate to send anyone to her.

After a lengthy consultation call explaining my entire situation being completely transparent they stated they could definitely assist me. I paid the fee and uploaded every single document requested and all communications with IRS prior to their taking on the file. Months later I'm told resolutions don't apply to "someone like me" and I should "find the money to pay". I could have put the money I've paid them towards the debt. Questions are unanswered or unable to be answered and definitely do not feel that they are advocating for me. Save your money.

I just spoke with their office.. however I forget the lady's name. I think it began with an L. She was extremely helpful, and gave me such needed direction. A great consultation, and will definitely be using their office when needed. Denise

Definitely seem like nice people there at the office. After paying for representation, I felt like I was not told everything. Seven months go by and nothing determined of the situation. McCauley Jr. flat out lied to me. Gave incorrect information. Seemed like he was on the other team. Be careful here! For that I would clearly not recommend.

The IRS hit us with an unfair tax penalty after some letters didn’t make it to them during COVID. The IRS officer we first talked to was a liar and unhelpful but McCauley guided us through the process and took care of all correspondence and phone calls to help us get the penalty totally absolved. I was very skeptical about paying a lawyer, but it was definitely worth it.

She explained all of our options in her plain English. She gave us a fair price for an unknown amount of work, which allowed us to not worry about a blank check.
