I have not retained McDougal, Boehmer, Foley, Lyon, Mitchell & Erickson, but I have dealt with this firm extensively in an adversarial capacity while they represented the City of El Cajon in code-enforcement litigation involving my property. Based on my direct experience, I found the firm’s litigation approach to be aggressive, inefficient, and poorly managed. Despite reportedly billing the City millions of dollars in legal fees, their presentation at trial was disorganized and unpersuasive. The Court ultimately saw through the City’s position and allowed my cross-complaint to proceed, including causes of action for federal civil-rights violations under 42 U.S.C. § 1983, due process violations, and equal protection / selective enforcement. In my opinion, the firm’s handling of the matter reflected a lack of professionalism and strategic clarity. Work appeared to be delegated to outside or secondary attorneys, which only compounded the inefficiencies and confusion in court. This review reflects my personal experience and opinion as a litigant opposing this firm—not as a client. Anyone considering hiring this firm, particularly public agencies spending taxpayer funds, should conduct careful due diligence and independently evaluate whether the value delivered aligns with the fees incurred.

Just wanted to share this Family Law attorney's viewpoint about femicide.

If you'd like to be a number,if you'd like an attorney to remind you 100 times a day of their rate and basically tell you you don't have enough money,then give up on your case, this is the law office for you.I was given false hope and definitely wasted my time and money.

Do not use this firm! They admittedly mishandled my case, then apologized and then mishandled it again. I got hit on my motorcycle by a truck and I’ve been going back and forth with this firm for two years now and after a year and a half they told me, because of my insurance, I was only going to get a very small settlement. This was after I went to their chiropractor (their advice) for a while, ultimately money coming from my settlement. Then I got frustrated because I asked from the very beginning to let me know my max reasonable settlement so I could make decision’s and they never did so after a year and a half I just asked to settle for whatever amount I could get. They settled and I went in to sign closing documents…then three days later they said they made a mistake AGAIN and they would not be sending a check. So now they don’t respond to any of my emails and I’m still waiting two years later for a measly $7,000. Yes, I got hit at a stop light by a Dodge Ram, waited two years…and counting, for seven grand. Maybe, because they really don’t know how much I’m going to get after their “well deserved” cut. Use literally anybody else. I’m telling you they will not fight for you or serve you well. It’s been a nightmare dealing with them. They really put the “er” in lawyer.
