Excellent professional service without all the stuffy"fluff" or lack of caring and honesty found with other legal counsel in the Asheville area! Took care of business/corporate issues thoroughly with diligence and without tons of hours billed to me. Handled real estate sale at the last minute and offered great suggestions. Took care of Trademark issues with a Company division sold on behalf of Trust/Estate during a complicated Probate case while working with Estate attorney from another practice that had been previously hired. Patient and kind despite my many mistakes made as an overwhelmed widow trying to figure it all out but had the foresight to intervene and get things done when needed- even if that meant telling me calmly and respectfully to hurry up and provide information, documentation, input, etc. and make my decisions based on what they had researched when it was critical for me to do so. Could not be happier with the many legal issues they resolved at a fair and decent price.

I emailed this law firm to help with basic questions I had about copyright and taxes for online domestic sales. They advertise copyright and tax law on their website, and I gave my questions in an email ahead of time. They directed me to lawyer #1 (cant remember her name) and she could answer some of my copyright questions, but none of the tax questions. She was also SUPER distracted on the phone, speaking very slowly and even stopping quite a bit, and making a good 10 minutes worth of small talk (my business happens to be a hobby of hers, so I was charged for her personal interest). At one point, she even said, "I'm sorry, I'm distracted." ...not something you want to hear at $250/hour. I heard nothing in the background, not sure what she was doing, scrolling through her phone?? who knows She directed my tax questions to another attorney, so enter lawyer #2 (again, cant remember her name). My first question was, "do I need to charge sales tax for an online domestic sale?" she couldn't answer that or any of my other basic tax questions (once again, submitted ahead of time and now this lawyer was recommended as the one to talk to by a fellow attorney in the firm). I literally got no information from that phone call, but was still billed for it. Lawyer #2 wanted to "research" these questions and promised "she would try to keep it under 2 hours at $250/hour." seriously... huge waste of time and money.
