I am so appreciative of the work that Deanna and her team did for myself and for my children. She not only won an uphill battle but saved me financially in the process as she was very aware of the hardship legal costs can impose on someone. Finances were secondary in priorities and not even close in importances relative to my children, but I know that is not always the case. As long as you are fighting for the right cause, Deanna is the right person to go to. She navigated me through the whole process and the most difficult time of my life. First they took a consultation fee of $500 to spend about 20 minutes going over my request for formation documents. Then, despite my repeated attempts to continue the process, they ghosted me for a month. So I wrote a review on here about their dishonesty in taking my $500. Amazingly, the very next day he called me begging me to take down the review and promising to finish the job for a retainer of an additional $2000. Stupidly I agreed. 2 weeks later they sent a cookie cutter LLC formation document with the kind of modifications that probably took 20 minutes to an hour from a basic lawdocument.com format for a competent legal aid yet they were prompt on invoicing me the full retainer with padded hours. I replied back in August 2025 that I had all I need, and considered the matter over if overpriced. Then, much to my surprise just this last week they sent me a new invoice with late fees for supposed additional work in October. I never agreed nor requested any additional work. The job was over in August and the final invoice came in September. I have been caring for my girlfriend in the hospital with leukemia since sept 26th and have not engaged in any request for additional work with any attorney, especially not this firm since then. This is extortion and I guess the kind of dishonest unethical behavior I can expect from most attonerneys these days. A profession seemingly devoid of ethics and honesty of which McKean Smith is a prime example. Dirtbags of the lowest order.

got there number from Oregon State Bar, they told me that it would be about 2 weeks before I would hear from them, well it's been 3 weeks and I have not heard back, so I called in and was told that my case had not been reviewed as of yet and that they are not going to do what I need to do anymore (after i called and put my case in) instead of calling me and telling me that they made me wait even longer than what i told and said that they quit taking those cases after I submitted mine in and won't be accepting it even though I submitted it before they made that decision. Literally use anyone else these guys will waste your time. You should have accepted mine because I had it in before you made that decision. Hello Owner. The respectable thing to do would be to stop taking them after a certain date and any inquiries prior to that date should be taken but your firm is clearly not respectable I encourage everyone to avoid this firm they will waste your time like they did mine
