William took $3,000.00 from my family. He did pay for a stamp to send a letter that we wrote FOR him. He then never lifted a finger, but was happy to keep the cash. I hired a new attorney, described the situation and before I could tell the new attorney who we had worked with he said "we're you working with Trippe?" I guess this guy is known around town.

From the first day I retained Mr. Mckeny as my lawyer, I had nothing butt great experiences and knew I was in the right legal care. The stress and thoughts that my case was weighing on me suddenly felt lifted and I have nothing except the upmost gratitude for the entire firm, from the receptionist that was very communicative to the man himself that stood on business the whole time. I thankfully do not find myself in a situation that requires having an attorney. However, if I ever needed one Mr. McKeny would be my only choice. In my opinion he went above and beyond my expectations. I was facing some pretty harsh punishment for a crime I did not commit. I hired this man in 2020 to help me with a complicated custody contempt case. At this point I had not seen my kids in a year and a half due to the court order not being followed by the other parent. My case had been filed in another county and moved to Lincolnton. It is now 2024, and I am still dealing with the same case, just fighting to see my child. I paid William Trippe McKeny in full with an agreed upon rate to handle contempt and custody modification. After years of stalled court dates, guardian ad litem, psychological evaluation, drug testing, and then reunification therapy and still getting nowhere, I resolved to hire a new attorney. Months and months would go by with no communication from this man, all the while, my children being withheld from me. At one point Mr. Mckeny got into an argument with my husband when he was asked what he was doing to resolve this case and multiple times told me he should be making more money on my case. He told me I could fire him and hire a new attorney if I didn’t think he was working hard enough for me. He posed as a Christian man who cared about my case in the beginning, but once he realized how complicated it was, he pretty much did the bare minimum, blaming the delays on Covid. After turning things over to another attorney, we came to find out he never even re-filed the contempt in Lincoln county. This explains why the contempt never made it on the calendar. Two of my three kids are now aged out and I have missed years of their lives. The original judge on my case retired last year and a new judge appointed. Malpractice is not even a question. It is a fact. And yes, his license was revoked at one point and should be again. Should have seen all the red flags including the Masonic ring that he wears. I am beyond angry. I am sick with grief that someone I should have been able to trust in law could be so negligent.

Mr.Mckeny did amazing and came in with a positive attitude and did exactly what he said he would do and helped me out so much!! Couldn’t be more grateful of this man and will be using him in the future!!

I hired Trippe McKeny to represent me in 2013. His license to practice law was suspended (google it) after I paid the full retainer. I never received a refund or even an apology & I wasn’t the only one. I was forced to hire Davis & Davis who did a great job.
