Vanessa was able to step in quickly and assertively when my ex tried to suddenly move my 2 kids out of state without my consent. McKinnon Law Firm took over my divorce half way through the process, which was basically at a stand still and facing mandatory mediation due to the the first lawyer's inability to help facilitate necessary communication in order to come to an agreement -- even though both parties were extremely close on all fronts. This would have resulted in countless more wasted hours, and money spent in legal fees had it continued to go that direction. Vanessa stepped in with extreme care and genuine concern for avoiding wasting time and money on dragging the case out further than it had already been or needed to be. She immediately facilitated a mediation type meeting to begin, and guided us through the process of appropriate dialogue required in order to come to as fast of a resolution as possible, while keeping both parties informed the entire time, and comfortable with the outcome. Vanessa stayed in very close communication via phone and email so there was never a question where things were in the process, unlike the first law firm that was hired. McKinnon Law displayed extreme professionalism throughout, while showing a high level of concern for our children involved, and keeping their best interests at heart as well.
