I recently called the McNair law firm to inquire about a couple of things I needed to take care of. I was very surprised that John McNair answered the telephone, as I usually am greeted by a receptionist when calling my previous attorneys. I mentioned that I was looking for a new attorney and asked if he could help with revising my trust as well as a name change for a family member. He was very rude and condescending. I literally was on the other end of the phone in shock. I couldn't believe a professional could be so arrogant when speaking with a potential client. Whether my inquiries were something he thought were ridiculous or not, he could have been courteous and responded politely. I would never use this law firm.

My wife and I wanted to update our Will since one of the named Executor passed away. We debated whether a Will or a Trust would better serve our needs. A former colleague recommended John McNair, and we immediately contacted him. We scheduled an appointment for the initial consultation, which went very well. Mr. McNair explained the differences between a Will and a Revocable Living Trust. We decided on the Revocable Living Trust. The process from the beginning to the end was very smooth as we found Mr. McNair to be very patient in answering all of our numerous questions. He explained each step in the process in plain simple language that we could understand. We feel extremely fortunate to have him help us through this process. His experience level was very obvious and we will definitely recommend him. We are very grateful for his guidance and we feel very good about accomplishing this needed task to ensure that things are taken care of correctly for our estate.

John McNair has been an absolute life saver in dealing with my dad's Medicaid process! We originally had another estate attorney prepare documents to protect my father's home for his Medicaid application. Turns out, she made a devastating error that resulted in mt dad being denied by Medicaid. The Medicaid "representative" company that works with my dad's nursing facility also did not catch this fatal flaw in the paperwork since they are NOT lawyers and DO NOT review the information for potential issues. They simply gather the necessary paperwork and submit it on your behalf. I STRONGLY discourage anyone from working with these types of "representative" companies, whether it be for Medicaid or Medicare. If you're reading this, then I encourage you to work with Mr. McNair. His out-of-the-box plan saved us from losing my dad's Medicaid appeal and owing his nursing facility over $40k. He is a seasoned estate and elder law attorney. I fully trust him and will be returning to plan my and my husband's estate in the future.
