As a Probation Officer and being treated unfairly by the LA County Probation Dept., having found a very professional and highly skilled law firm, I feel at ease with having McNichols represent me in this complex case. In March 2024, I was sent home from my job to use my own time after spending almost 20 years at a job that clearly does not value their employees...I am a Deputy Probation Officer...I spent the first part of my career at the Juvenile Hall as a Detention Service Officer where I spent 6 years and while working 16 hour shifts ...breaking up fights...Counseling youth and Supervising some of the most traumatized youth in the County..I was also obtaining my Bachelor's Degree as a single mother of 3 beautiful children. ..Once I obtained my Bachelor's of Science in Administration of Justice I promoted soon after as a Deputy Probation Officer I..I promoted to a mental health Camp where some of the worst kids in the County were placed...I worked with the Commercially Sexually Exploited Children for 3 1/2 years and then I promoted again as a Deputy Probation Officer II field Deputy where I work with Adults and the job classification for this position is Light Duty. Well, I was sent home along with hundreds of my coworkers who have restrictions due to being in Juvenile hall in our 20s 30s and 40s now we are in our 50s and 60s and the Probation department is trying to force us back in the Juvenile halls Where we have already worked and have sustained bodily injuries. Well McNicholes & McNicholes filed a Mass Action lawsuit against the County on our behalf...They have been Amazing with reaching out to us and Investigating the County due to sending us home because we have disabilities... I have been assigned a Case Manager (Antonio Guzman) from McNicholes & McNicholes to gather all my information and He has been very Empathetic and understanding. MCNICHOLES & McNicholes have kept us informed since the beginning of this nightmare and has been Amazing giving me and all my Coworkers some type of Hope...Thank you McNicholes &McNicholes.
