I want to extend my gratitude to McPartland Law and every team member who was involved in my workman’s comp claim against Labor & Industries including Dr. Penix and Dr. Campbell, who were willing to fight for my rights and the system as an injured worker. Sharing my experience, hopefully will bring clarity for others who have been injured at work, to reach out to McPartland Law before going to see a doctor and filing a claim with L&I. I made the mistake of not doing just that. I had a neck injury which led to months of seeing a Doctor who didn’t order the necessary tests (EMG, etc) and L& I was stone-walling me. As my condition worsened, I felt I was getting nowhere, so I called McPartland Law. It was the best decision I made. When I opened my claim with L & I, they failed to mention what doctors who are in the network, for my area that handle L& I claims that I can go to. Also, communication with the claim manager(s) assigned to my case (there were several) was few and far between. I was always talking to someone different. In the workman’s comp brochure they give you, read carefully some of the wording is under false pretenses. After retaining McPartland Law, I was given the name of Dr. Penix. thank goodness! Between both the lawyers and doctors, I finally had advocates willing to fight for my rights and to receive the quality of healthcare I deserved. They fought to have my benefits reinstated, receive the fusion I desperately needed (after waiting almost 2 years) and to be compensated for my injury. I am happy to say we were able to settle this week. I know that may not sound like a long time for some whom have had to wait longer or who are still waiting but I believe between the power of prayer that if I wasn’t guided to retain McPartland Law, I would still be a part of a flawed system with L & I. After my husband was hurt at work and went through 3 surgeries the private insurer sent us a letter stating they over paid us.
