Medical Justice is the BEST!!! We have been with them from the beginning, and the advice we have received over the years has been priceless. The CEO is both a neurosurgeon, an attorney, and he is one of the smartest and kindest people I have ever met. As a private practitioner of Medicine, I feel MedicalJustice is essential. We always try our best to help our patients to achieve their goals, however, sometimes things simply don’t turn out as expected, and having Medical Justice in your corner is valuable for reaching an amicable agreement, usually with somebody who may be dissatisfied about something. Additionally, our advisors over the years, have all been extremely knowledgeable and kind, and have helped us to formulate successful plans with our practice. My favorite staff member is Robin M. Like the CEO, she is bright, and kind, and seemingly always available to help. And I also have to thank Josh O. I don’t know what we would do without him!!! We also utilize eMerit which is the BEST method for enabling your patients to share their experiences, in your practice, digitally. I highly recommend Medical Justice, without reservation. I will give them 10 out of five stars. Thank you. Dr. Joseph.
Medical Justice has been an amazing partner for my practice over the last 10+ years. Highly recommend!

Referred me to a psychologist Dr Sorrentino and she did not do her job properly. Strange thing was Dr Sorrentino would not reply to our email but it would come via Dr Sigal. This cost me a lot of money with improper diagnosis without proper work up. Instead of just saying no as I did not have whole 3 days, they went with 6 hrs eval without any special test and many physician health program told me it’s incomplete evaluation and would not help and I have to do though proper 3 days evaluation.
Physicians with the most challenging problems are those defending against simultaneous criminal charges, civil charges, and action on their medical license.
Great service!
There are simply no words to describe what a wonderful job Dr. Jeff Segal did for me. I was navigating a difficult journey in the final steps of my certification process and it was through Jeff's experience, compassion, and understanding that my issue was resolved successfully. If I could give 10 stars, I would.
I had an excellent experience working with Dr. Segal and his firm. They have deep expertise in both law and healthcare, which made a huge difference in my case. My concerns were always heard, and I truly felt my situation was taken seriously and handled with compassion. Their professionalism, empathy, and commitment to achieving results make them an outstanding firm and one of the best resources you can have on your side.
Dr. Segal was very considerate in my issue. He helped alleviate the stress I was going through and gave me useful advice and confidence that my issue would work out. I will be sure to come back to Medical Justice Services if I ever need legal help in the medical field. Thank you!
Kiswana Houston is absolutely amazing! From the moment we connected, Kiswana impressed me with her professionalism, warmth, and deep knowledge of her work. She made the entire process feel seamless and welcoming, and her passion for helping practices thrive truly shines through. She’s not only incredibly knowledgeable, but also kind, patient, and genuinely invested in making sure everything runs smoothly. It was an absolute pleasure working with her, and I’m looking forward to many more collaborations in the future. Highly recommend Kiswana — she’s a true asset to Medical Justice!
This service is outstanding in every way. Highly recommend!!!
I have had the great fortune of having this service for my clinic for more than a decade. This is the kind of exceptional service that provides all you need to set up the necessary, intelligent and appropriate agreements every practice needs, and can rely on in times when disagreements arise. Additionally, the advice, and guidance in navigating possibly uncomfortable situations with employees or others, is so valuable! No matter how conscientious and appropriate any provider practices, there will be rare times when a patient or employee is unhappy with a given situation and things can get concerning. Until, you get the proper guidance, and the tools to ensure a proper outcome. Even if this support it is needed once every 5 or 10 years for a complex situation, it is more than worth the piece of mind! Dr Segal has always been there to help me understand what the laws are, how they apply and what my options are. He always gives me sound expert advice, to handle just about any legally relevant situation confidently and appropriately. Thank you Dr Segal!
We are a group of physicians that have been working with the Medical Justice eMerit team for the past 9 years. They have helped us obtain many more reviews from our patients by streamlining the process and making it much more convenient for our patients. They have also helped us in the process of flagging and getting fictitious reviews removed. Throughout our experience with them, they have been highly effective, honest, timely, talented and professional. If you are looking for a service to help manage your reviews, we highly recommend them. Update 9/10/25: Adding to this review. The team at eMerit continue to impress us by monitoring and updating our data. We continue to be very impressed with their services.
This is my experience. We hired their services for a case that was filed several years ago. A frivolous “zombie” case that was being dragged by both plaintiff and defense attorneys. First of all, they charged us retroactive fees, meaning we had to hand over about 6500 dlls for them to take on the case. This is of course after Dr Segal supposedly reviewed the case and was confident they could get it dropped. Their course of action? Send a letter to the plaintiff attorneys, which may or may not have been read. That’s it. Obviously it didn’t move the case one bit. After requesting further actions several times, we were able to speak with Dr Segal for a bit directly for the first time, who then allegedly contacted the defense attorney briefly to assure him that said attorney was “working” in the case. The end. That was the extent of what we got for thousands of dollars and a forced call with Dr Segal. We feel duped and extremely dissatisfied. Even the defense attorney (who took offense that we hired this service) told us that MJ hasn’t done anything to move cases forward in his experience. And our experience reflects it
We are sorry you are faced with this. We understand how frustrating these situations can be. Medical Justice programs are designed mainly for prevention—with the goal of helping stop the filing of or escalation of frivolous lawsuits and reputational damage in the healthcare space.
When clients consult with us about their legal challenges, our first step is to understand the scope of the issue and present them with a frank and honest outlook.
Most physicians are used to actions in the medical sphere taking place quickly.
The legal domain is different. Legal process is slow. It’s akin to a turtle in peanut butter. And, some state courts experience legal constipation because of, frankly, “too many litigants.” And there are still backups related to delays caused by COVID. Really.
A zombie case just implies a case that “should have” gone through the system faster to reach a conclusion. Sometimes new facts emerge that slow down the process. Or change the outlook. Sometimes, the plaintiff cannot be located, such as in a wrongful death where there the patient is deceased, and now the remaining family member, who filed the case, is also deceased. The judge will need to dot all i’s and cross all t’s before calling the zombie case dead.
We understand this frustration and we welcome the opportunity to discuss this matter further. Please call our office to schedule a time to speak with Dr. Segal.
If I could give 10 stars I would! Medical Justice has been wonderful. The team is quick to respond and always so helpful. The tools provided and guidance is above and beyond. Highly recommend them!
