It is always difficult when a family member passes away and we regret the challenges you are now facing with the sale of your grandfather's property. While your frustration is clear, our firm never met nor represented your grandfather. We represented only your mother, in her capacity as his power of attorney, for a very limited purpose. Our advice and the documents we prepared were correct, did not include any errors and were what she requested from us. However, she did not receive the result she expected due to issues outside the scope of our representation. Subsequently, our firm has not provided, nor were we hired to provide any estate planning or probate advice. Though the professional rules of practice prevents us from assisting with the process any further, we sincerely hope these circumstances will be resolved quickly and satisfactorily for your family.
