Megan K. Kau, Attorney at Law

Went to school with her. Horrible, entitled person all throughout. Maybe that makes her a good lawyer but as a person hard pass. Did my best to make sure everyone knew to vote against her in 2020.

I did no hire Megan to be upfront, and I've worked with just shy of a dozen attorneys in my life for everything from business to litigation, medical and civil rights, estate and housing, TM & Copyrights. But this situation (Only in Hawaii, HA!) I found myself at a brick wall sort of situation with serious conflicts and was actually afraid. Megan not only took the time to talk with me, but she assured me that I had the ability to address this issue through available channels and it was possible without any legal representation. For a lawyer to put their ability to profit aside and encourage solutions is what Attorneys I've respected have always done. My appreciation and respect for sharing what was in your capacity, and encouraging me to understand what was in mine!

Megan and her staff were very professional when questioning me regarding an incident a friend of mine was involved in. The were quick to respond, always upfront with what was going on in court. Even briefed the family and friends in the courtroom regarding the procedural steps in a trial. It's not like TV and she made it easy to understand. She was caring and answered questions. Was she mean, yes to the opposing attorney. She did her job and defended my friend to her best ability. I would hire Megan to be my attorney should I need someone to represent me in court.

I was so happy when Megan told me she will run for Honolulu Prosecutor, We need some one like Megan to repair and gain the trust of the people for this very important position.

Megan Kau has been my attorney since early 2019. I was in desperate need of an attorney who was gonna fight for my case whole heartedly and was willing to go to bat in the courtroom. She’s professional; she saw my character and believed in my innocence which meant a lot going forward with her. She was not professional about handling my car accident case. She told me to do all the work and when i have all my records and such all together, call her then. She was always irritated and very mean ( spoke to het twice on phone) . I decided to go thru a different lawyer.

It took only 1 call to realize how unprofessional and condescending this person was after simply inquiring about the return of my cash bond which was my ONLY involvement in this case. She did nothing to ensure my bond money was returned prior to withdrawing & had the ordacity to hang up. She dropped the ball regarding my BOND & allowed her emotions to cloud her judgement. I pray for anyone assigned, to ensure you are treated fairly and with dignity & kindness. I still believe there's hope for Megan as God forgives everyone.
