Claire is awful. All she cares about is her $7500 and then uses it for nothing. Then wants more money to continue. She was no help in my divorce. She will also ignore your phone calls when you don’t agree and refuse to give her more money. Money hungry attorney. She will promise in the beginning to take care of everything and how you will have a good outcome then backtrack when it comes to court.

Mehaffey & Watson has been an amazing resource for our family during a very difficult time. Kayla has been amazing to work with, she is skilled, knowledgeable, kind, compassionate, prompt and accommodating. She has been easily accessible, extremely responsive, and does anything she can to make things easier for us. Calling Claire's office was truly a blessing. I was in a difficult situation, and Claire and her staff were amazing. I had to appear in court in less than 48 hrs when I first contacted Claire's office for legal advice. Kayla N walked me through the entire process with ease and explained everything I needed to do. She understood my urgency and helped in any way she could. Claire met with me at the courthouse and reviewed everything for me, putting all my stresses at ease. Waste of money… Sam didn’t care about fighting for my case he just wanted more money. He wore a terrible suit to court that had a hole in it. My suit looked better than his. I fired him immediately and went got my someone that would actually fight for my case. Rest in peace Dehoyas and thank you for getting my case dismissed. Sam was going to get me locked up telling me they’re trying to give you 20 yrs! I can get it down to 10yrs. Like what!!! Im innocent! He was absolutely unprofessional handling my case. Im sure he has done great work for others and actually fought for them, but I’m telling he picks and chooses who he does thar for. So trust your gut when you first meet him because if you get bad vibes… Don’t hire him.

I was so disappointed in the way my divorce was handled. Claire did not fight for me at all. My ex husband ended up with 90% of everything we had accumulated in our 20 years together even the house we had built. He wanted divorce, but would not file or answer summons from Claire. He cheated but Claire was not interested in trying to do anything but say irreconcilable differences. Finally today I paid my spiteful mother-in-law to be done with those people. Divorce was actually final 9 months ago. not a good lawyer for a divorce.

TOTAL SCAM!! Do not waste your money. My husband and I hired Claire after having a bad experience with another Abilene attorney , Claire assured us that she would be able to help my husband with his custody case. After months and months of unreturned phone calls and messages the paralegal tells My husband he needs to pay more money !! 🤦🏽‍♀️ 7,500K gone and no help , months without seeing his son and Claire could care less about helping him. She also told us she charges us a HIGHER RETAINER BECAUSE SHE HAD TO DEAL WITH CORY CLEMENTS another Abilene attorney. Come to find out we were told her and Cory are actually really close friends so she’s just literally scamming people. Her job is clearly about taking peoples money and NOT helping her clients. She surely doesn’t care about the best interest for any child either. My husband fired her and found someone else. I could write more but I’ll save it. If you google other reviews there are hundreds of terribly experiences just like ours. Stay away from this company.

Claire has been nothing but amazing for me and my case so far! I highly recommend Claire if you’re looking for a divorce/custody case attorney. She has gone above & beyond for me. Texts me back when I have questions, and never brushes me off. She is expensive but she is WORTH every penny. Highly recommend!

After taking money from us, Claire and Phyllis were consistently rude and disrespectful towards us. Just at the end of the case, Claire withdrew as our attorney. We never met in person with her. Not even at the hearing. She was tied up somewhere else in the courthouse and could not attend. Claire never responded to calls. Never sat us down before our hearing. She and her best friend Cory Clements made a temporary order. We were just there. Not really involved in any of it. Right after telling us she needed more money; we requested an itemized bills. BY LAW, they have 10 days. THIS WAS REQUESTED TWO DAYS BEFORE SHE WITHDREW AS COUNSEL. AND GUESS WHAT??? Never received it. Nada. PLEASE DONT WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON THIS LAW FIRM. IT IS RAN LIKE A CIRCUS AND CLAIRE IS THE HEAD CLOWN. 🤡 she deserves no star!
