This case included some important decisions for you to make, and we were happy to provide you with detailed advice.<br><br>It’s good that you hired us. Someone carrying out the terms of a trust should have an attorney experienced with trust administration. There are trust legal requirements that most lay people don’t know.<br><br>Even though this case turned out to have some complexities, the process still was much better than a probate decedent’s estate court proceeding. It’s good that your dad had the foresight to create the trust.<br><br>We also handle probate decedent’s estate court proceedings for clients. We prefer, however, to minimize the client effort and our fees by avoiding probate decedent’s estate court proceedings whenever possible. It’s always rewarding when we guide a trustee through to the end of administering (or carrying out) the requirements of a trust.<br><br>You are fortunate that a trust was in place in this case. Without a trust, a court probate proceeding or conservatorship proceeding may be necessary when someone dies or becomes unable to care for himself or herself anymore. We help people with probates and conservatorships too.
