Why won't you either answer your phone during business hours or provide some kind of message that provides a reason for your unavailable status? It is very unprofessional and irritating when I call at 4:30p ( your hours display that you close at 5pm, Mon-Fri)...

Used them twice now through legalshield. First was just to review a contract that I felt was weird which they explained to me sounded normal. Second time was for a strange voicemail that I felt was a scam but could have also been a debt collector. Even if it was a debt collector, it would have been an illegitimate one not following rules so I was told to not answer and if I did get tricked into answering, do not give them any info. If they were legitimate I would receive a letter or an official summons (both of which I knew I should have received but still makes you feel better to confirm) Both times they had 8 business hours to respond but responded within an hour. Friendly each time and didn't feel like I was wasting their time Were these true legal matters? Probably not, maybe the contract was good to review. But having the piece of mind that I can access a lawyer quickly is worth the legal shield membership and this firm is a great firm to work with and seems to be the firm my legalshield always goes too

Unprofessional, patronizing, and deeply disrespectful experience with Steven Gebeaux If I could leave zero stars, I would. I’ve never in my life dealt with a more condescending, dismissive representative than Steven Gebeaux, who claimed to be a supervisor at Merritt Webb. I waited on hold for 53 minutes only to be met with a smug, patronizing tone and no actual assistance. He spoke to me as if I were a child, with phrases like “Are you wanting to be productive now?” — completely ignoring the seriousness of the issue I called about. This isn’t just a customer service issue — this is about a legal service I’m actively paying for, one that has repeatedly closed my case without resolution. Meanwhile, I’m facing escalating legal threats from a contractor while Merritt Webb fails to act. Gebeaux offered no empathy, no urgency, and no solutions. Just vague, robotic responses and a tone that reeked of superiority and contempt. To anyone considering working with this firm: be very careful. My experience has been one of delays, mismanagement, and flat-out disrespect. A legal team should advocate for you — not make an already stressful situation worse.

I had a fantastic experience with this law firm during my first consultation. I spoke with Attorney Hays and he was incredibly helpful and empathetic. He made sure all of my questions were answered and laid out the next steps regarding my situation. Having never needed to consult with an attorney previously, I am very grateful for the experience Attorney Hays and this firm has provided so far. Edit: I utilize the legalshield benefit and have zero complaints.

They’re very rude. Give bad info. I did a consult with another attorney with the information I had from this law firm. They said that was incorrect information and said the information either came from a bad google search or a guess. This law firm is legal shield. It also takes them over a week to send your paperwork to a real attorney. Then it takes a little longer to speak to the other attorney. Not only that, it takes them 6 days to get the paperwork to you when they tell you 2-3 days. So your issue isn’t even addressed for at least 2-3 weeks once you talk to someone. Would not recommend this firm. I’m not even sure if they’re real attorneys.

Very poor service and company. I was seeking justice for my Brothers death and the given me poor service and was very nasty and rude. This firm and the legal shield it sucks.

Very fast and exceptionally attentive to what I needed

I use Legal Shield. The good news, is you can always call in for legal advice. The bad news is that it's a tossup on if the advice you get is good or not. I was given incorrect, like very incorrect, legal advice by a lawyer from here. The second lawyer I spoke to was much more knowledgeable, but not very helpful. The third one didn't really listen to me. It's hard to speak to the same person you spoke to before. Sometimes they call you back, sometimes not. Because of this, I decided to just hire a real lawyer who was just for me. So, the Legal Shield thing was useless on my end. I guess it's good only if you want some advice... but who knows if it'll be accurate lol.

Had a GREAT experience with Catherine! She is currently helping me take down an apartment complex that is trying to illegally evict my family and I. I highly recommend using them, you will get results!

Don't waste your time with these people. The customer service they offer is slim to none.

I have had an exclusively negative experience with this firm. I use them through Legal Shield and the extent of what they can do is write a letter, or an email or two. Anything further, you pay for a real attorney! I have used them 3 time with solid cases and the law on my side with nothing to show for it. I literally have no idea what I pay for monthly! ****MORE IMPORTANTLY. I have been given incorrect legal information on several occasions. One of which was that the state if Indiana no longer enforces forged checks as a criminal offense, which an actual attorney from Indiana informed was definitely not the case and has never been the case. He then asked me who gave me with very incorrect information. I have lost out on thousands and thousands of dollars because of this "legal service provider", and have been given the run around to get me off their backs. Not to mention, it's impossible to get ahold of an around here! So incredibly disgusted withtl the services here and the uncorrect legal information I've been given!

Highly incompetent attorneys who rush through paperwork and calls. They were sending a letter out on my behalf to a bank and used another client's name and sensitive case information for the body of the letter, while citing my name as the plaintiff. Just horribly incompetent and unprofessional. Thank God I got the letter pulled from the mail before it went out. Seems they don't care about clients unless you are paying major money. Trying to get help is impossible and highly stressful.
