Each case is unique, so my experience is left here in hopes that it helps you to make a better decision about who you choose to work with as your council. Michael Theriot was the ONLY lawyer I spoke with over the telephone who listened to me during my consultation. I won't go into specifics, but I found it amazing the vast majority of individuals I spoke with on this journey who were narrow-minded and self-centered. Michael Theriot presented as the total opposite. His follow-through could use a huge boost in attention to detail, but overall, he was able to help my family accomplish our goal. I almost rated this a lower star rating, as I sent a request via certified mail for copies of invoicing and have been flat-out ignored for several months. Update 3/23/24 Never followed up.

I was able to successfully adopt my daughter working with Mr. Theriot.

100% do not recommend. Filed multiple motions incorrectly, paid $4000 and never established paternity or custody as agreed. Complete waste of time and money, still had to hire another attorney to establish paternity and custody after paying him to do so. Does not fight for his clients, is in it only for the money

My husband and I would recommend Attorney Theriot to anyone. As attorneys ourselves, we valued his kindness, vast experience, and no nonsense personality. He truly works to do the best for each of his clients. Although things didn’t work out the way we had hoped, we wouldn’t hesitate to use him again.

I went through this agency last year and Mr. Theriot did a phenomenal job in assisting us to find a great family for my little one. They helped us in every way possible. Proper background checks are done on every person wanting to adopt through his agency.

I would recommend Mr. Theriot to anybody. I went through him for an adoption 22 yrs ago. Him and his crew was awesome during and after my son was born. Trust he will find a wonderful family if you need an adoption attorney.
