I hired Attorney Milam in 2022 after being told by SSA I needed to file a new application; I had been pending a reconsideration for 2 years but somehow they no longer had any record of my request. After 4 long years without any income I finally won my disability benefits back! Thanks to Jeffrey I was awarded benefits all the way back to 2020 rather than 2022 when I refilled. Working with him was stressful at times because our interactions were limited, we only spoke three times including at the hearing. My advice to anyone is hire Milam Law for your disability claim and then relax and trust that you are in great hands. They may not be in constant contact but that's because they are out winning cases not padding your bill

Update 10/28/2024: I appreciate the response; however, the response does not quite have the facts correct. If I am unable to get answers to basic questions and I have a hard time following an attorney due to speed of the discussion there is no way my father would either. Finally, I do not remember the specifics of the conversation but I do not remember being asked to put my father on the phone. Regardless, at this point there was no discussion of anything remotely personal - the discussion was to ask about how the firm handles Agent Orange & other service-related medical problems. Again, at this point the call could have been for me or anyone. Everything else written is understandable, such as being selective in the cases. However, the rudeness, speed, and the brusqueness of the Attorney is what I experienced and was unnecessary . To complete this review, I an revising my rebate from 1 to 3 stars because I cannot definitively remember being asked to have my father or in the phone, and it is appreciated to have received a response. Have a good week. End of update ******************* Hi, I completed the contact request form on their website approximately 5 days ago. I had not been contacted yet so I called just now, 10/3/2024, 10:51 am, to inquire. The person who answered the phone was polite & professional, taking the information required initially. I was then transferred me to an Attorney and the interaction immediately went downhill. The Attorney spoke very fast and I could not hear what was being said very well, as I was hearing background noise initially. The noise subsided and I was finally able to hear clearly. The questions were being very fast and assumptions were made immediately, before I had even finished answering the questions. I finally had enough, stated what I had to about the condition of my Father, who has cancer due to Agent Orange exposure, and other service-related medical issues. The Attorney stated the firm is very selective and restrictive about who is accepted as a client. I replied that was fine because I had just decided a working relationship with them was not going to work. The Attorney responded "ok" and abruptly hung up. I am looking for a law firm that will take the time to listen, explain the VA disability process, and provide guidance as needed to help respond to VA disability claim denials. I will continue to search for that firm as assistance is needed to have the VA recognize my Father's disabilities. I am appreciative of the first person to answer the phone for the politeness, concern, & efficiency exhibited.

Oh I apologize, I forgot I gave this review, I did it before my case was resolved which you had nothing to do with, you didn't even know that I had been denied the first time. I called for an update early January 2019 and was told what I was usually told, "no we haven't heard anything yet, but we'll let you know as soon as we do!". Thankfully I then called the SSA's office myself because it had been over a year since my claim was filed and good thing I did because I learned that a denial letter was sent out to my attorney at the time my claim was denied back in June of 2019, 6 mos earlier. When I called back to inform you of this revelation and asked your office to print out all the forms that were required to file again so I could pick them up so I the disabled client put in all the work going to my Dr(s) to get them to fill them out again, then back to each one to collect them and deliver them back to your office to be sent off again. During that time I had NO income coming in and Uber was very expensive during COVID but that was my only mode of transportation as well as all but one of my Drs I was not a patient of any longer due to now being on Medi-Cal which they do not take after losing my health insurance when I lost my job so I was having to pay $40 per form to get them filled out which I didn't have the money for I didn't even have a home at the time I was in a shelter selling off collectibles and various personal possession(s) to fund this but none of this effected how much money you stole when my claim was approved in May of 2019 a little short of 5 mos after I had to take charge of my own case after it languished in your hands of over a year and a half. And when I called to express my concerns over your handling of my case you blamed it on an office employee you had conveniently previously let go for other reasons who had filed away my denial and that just the fact that your name, a well respected attorney who's been doing this forever was on the letterhead is what actually got my case approved and that's what my $8000 dollars paid for. So again I thank you for reminding me of this review with your thank you 4 years later so that I can change it to reflect the truth of your incompetence and greed with 1 star. Best Regards.

I reached out to Milam Law looking for help on my SSI claim because the advocate I hired was not returning my calls. After speaking with Seng Milam, I find out that I would not qualify (at this time) for SSI, something my advocate NEVER told me after more than 18 months waiting (denied once and currently in my first appeal). Even after Seng knew I didn’t have a case, she talked me through the steps I needed to take in order to qualify for SSDI instead of SSI. She was a HUGE help and I would recommend her and this law firm to anyone looking for a good and HONEST disability law firm. Thank you again, Seng!
