Very very poor representation, assumed he knew there was no work release in the sentencing county instead of doing the job he was paid for and fight for work release, or EVEN ask for it. Numerous times after court he would say he had to go and run off without discussing what happens next. I repeatedly asked if our defense was to just lay down and not try any other avenue (house arrest, work release, etc) HE did however do a good job of making his client feel small, helpless, and neglected! Hard to reach after numerous phone calls and messages left with his staff. He is GREAT at an un-apology of shifting the blame on his client telling them they didnt take responsibility. I took responsibility and was very hard on myself for the bad decision I made to drink and drive. He REPEATEDLY used that angle to further belittle me and make me feel as if he wished I would have got a greater sentence. Maybe it's the flat rate treatment, but it was OBVIOUS he quite frankly didn't & doesn't care, going to the point of almost teasing and antagonist moves of saying "cool well call the county and tell them I didn't do my job and hire someone else to represent you" He was defensive from the start of the phone call after taking DAYS to reach him and no return phone calls like promised, IF YOU WANT REPRESENTED WITH CONFIDENCE DO NOT HIRE Cody or his staff!!!
