We were in serious need of a good lawyer and really didn't know where to find one. Or when we did find one if we could trust them that they would really help us. And not just take our money and do nothing to help us. Well God knew just what we needed and who we needed. And he sent us the right law firm and Megan Burns. The law firm and Megan stuck with us every step of the way. Even when it got ruff they never gave up on our case. Megan stayed on top of everything. Court dates, even conversation that we were not allowed to be apart of. She keep check on us constantly making sure we were ok mentally, emotionally and physically. I had an initial consultation with Mirador Law and intended to retain the firm. After completing the intake form and corresponding with Emily, we were in the process of executing the Retainer Agreement and submitting payment. When I requested a few reasonable changes to the Agreement, communication suddenly stopped. Repeated phone calls and emails were ignored. This lack of responsiveness was unprofessional and concerning, especially at the outset of a potential attorney-client relationship. It ultimately raised serious doubts about how the firm communicates with its clients. Based on this experience, I do not recommend this firm. Update - January 3, 2026 While I appreciate your acknowledgment, your reply does not address the core issue raised in my original comments: the complete lack of communication and failure to respond after I expressed a clear intent to move forward with representation. After requesting reasonable revisions to the Retainer Agreement, all communication from the firm—including from the partner—ceased. Multiple emails and phone calls went unanswered, with no explanation or follow-up. This absence of communication was not only disappointing but unprofessional, particularly given that we were at the stage of finalizing engagement and remitting the retainer. A simple response, even to decline requested changes, would have demonstrated basic professional courtesy. My comments are intended to accurately reflect this experience so that others can make informed decisions. I hope the firm will take this feedback seriously and address its internal communication practices to avoid similar situations in the future.
