My experience with Miranda Long as a Guardian ad Litem was deeply disturbing. What I share here is restrained and only begins to touch the harm caused by her involvement. Anyone who doubts this should look at her record in cases that have been appealed and the repeated concerns raised by families in those matters. The most serious issue was the failure to meaningfully investigate legitimate safety concerns for the child. Those concerns were brushed aside, and the actions that followed appeared to increase stress and instability rather than protect the child. She preferred making up wild, fantastic stories to doing actual fact finding. She also overstepped her role during active litigation by making “recommendations” and then telling one parent they could proceed without agreement from the other parent or a court order, treating those recommendations as if they carried judicial authority. Referrals to therapists and other professionals raised serious concerns and were not neutral, protective, or in the best interest of the child. Communication was inconsistent, with positions changing without explanation. Finally, billing appeared purposefully carefully balanced on paper, but the substance of time and scrutiny was not equal. Overall, this experience caused more harm than protection yet she is wrapped up with the system, her husbands influence, and often recommended by attorneys. Beware.

She did her job very well she is on nobody side just seeks the truth. Extremely professional

Idk how she sleeps at night. She is a GAL for a paycheck and doesn’t care about the best interests of children. She’s too busy on vacations and refuses to have meetings or return phone calls of clients and their lawyers. Made a recommendation against custody even though she never went to the home or spoke to the children privately or listened to videos of the kids saying how their mom was scaring them into lying. I’d never want anyone to hire her or be hurt by her lack of professionalism. She is a disgrace to any position that protects kids. Horrendous doesn’t begin to describe Miranda as a GAL.

A joke she is just collecting a paycheck. She is in the GAL business so she cant be sued for malpractice otherwise i'd be onboard for her being usless. Never did anything i was primary parent she never even came to my house never responded to emails of concerns only emailed to the my ex wife. Never answered phone calls. Then decided that i should get 50/50 this woman is not worth ever using for custody. All she did was damage my children by messing up the situation my kids were doing so well in.

The definition of what GAL or atty for kid does....shes the opposite.....This lady is HORRIBLE....SHE DONT DO HER JOB AT ALL......she not color blind....I HIGHLY recommend to never hire Miranda Long as a Guardian Ad Litem (GAL) or as an attorney! She doesn't follow through with judge's court orders, she doesn't investigate cases at all! She was friends with my ex's attorney and was completely unprofessional in the way that she conducted herself with my ex and his attorney. She fraudulently billed me for things that never happened just to cover her own butt. She met with me ONE time and never came to my home, never interviewed my references, kids' teachers or counselors or pastors. She just did a really crappy job all together! She also lied to and on my 4 year old daughter. Miranda Long is absolutely unprofessional and doesn't look at the best interest of the children, but instead, her own social life. NEVER hire this terrible attorney!
