Sidney is a fantastic attorney. He is very knowledgeable about the law as well as human nature. He had a tough case to handle with my divorce and child custody. He was calm, cool, collective through the stressful process. His demeanor is second to none which brings him a lot of courtroom respect from both his pears and judges alike. Court judges custody. These things are usually responsible for one of the worst things that can happen to you, not being in control of your own situation. It will leave you helpless and make you feel just plain worthless. Well, this happened to me. It was the most gut wrenching thing I have ever been through, and I can honestly say if not had been for Sidney, Maryann, and their team I wouldn't have made it through it. I'm a control freak. I need a plan. I need a path to go down, one that I can control. Well this path took me out of the driver's seat completely and it put Sidney and Maryanne in it. Their passion, commitment, and dedication to me - which included calls very late at night that they always answered, they didn't look at the phone and say "not today pal, get with you tomorrow," they answered and helped me with what ever problem I had. They are possibly the two most professional people I have ever met. Everyone in life is born to do something special - astronaut, pilot, general, father - Sidney and Maryann were born to do what they do. If you are ever in a position that takes you out of the driver's seat of your own life, in a control freaks eyes (one that controls everything he can), there are only two options: Sidney Mitchell and Maryann Hamby Rivest or second rate. Take my advice and don't put yourself and your family in the hands of anyone that is second rate.
