These guys are amazing! I honestly don't know what I would have done without them. They helped me for nearly 3 years, and I was eventually awarded my settlement after surgery. When I was first injured I had no idea what and how the Worker’s Comp process worked. I was injured on the job, and I had filed a claim with Worker’s Comp. That’s about as far as I had gotten. I was referred to Martie’s firm by another attorney, but I wasn’t sure which attorney would be assigned to my case. Martie took my case, and he and his staff were absolutely amazing. It’s very evident he cares for people, and only has his client’s best interest in mind! My case took way longer than the average Worker’s Comp case, so I always had a lot of questions. Anytime I called I was put through to Martie’s paralegal, Andrea, who was equally amazing and patient when I called. If she didn’t have the answer right then, she would always get me an answer promptly, or set up a meeting for me with Martie. They always kept me in the loop with anything that was going on, and Martie was very straight forward with what I could expect going forward. Hi I had Mc Quain as my attorney. It was for an attack that injured my back, neck and brain. I work with the mental patients that are extremely bad. The attorney said I can’t go a see the judge so I can explain what happened and how it affects me. He would be there only in court. I’ve never heard of not being able to speak in court. He didn’t even know my neurologist doctor who had a PHD. He never got a deposition from him. The most important doctor I had. The bill at the end of the case, he asked, was this for the attack. He didn’t even know. Of course it was. I had that bill paid then. That was one nice thing he did. Got it paid. It should have been paid anyway. Lots of help. I got nothing for my head injury with 12 staples. It took over three months for the top of my head to heal a scab to come off. I got nothing for this. My neck bone is permanently damaged too. MRI shows it being pushed against in inside of spine. I can never get my neck cracked again. I had a bulging disc in back too. They did cover those. But nothing for brain problems I still have two plus years later. Lots of memory loss and I’m not able to hold thoughts to this day. I feel, I wasn’t represented by this lawyer. He didn’t even know my injuries and doctors. He only went to the doctors he wanted for depositions. He wanted a easy case for him Worse, he knew I had problems with understanding things. He said that I was lucky. He knew the other lawyer from SAIF. They played soccer in college. Maybe different teams. He said that lawyer will be honest with him about the case. HOW lucky I was. If I were you….. run to another lawyer that will listen to you. One who will understand your injuries. Know your doctors too. My neurologist asked why he didn’t call. I said he didn’t think it was necessary. Bad lawyer is all I can say. I feel it was a conflict of interest and not representing a client. SAIF doctors PHD overrides other doctors opinions. .
