Any "firm" that has the MASSIVE LEVEL OF TURNOVER, this business has,..and continually has for a long time is a major RED FLAG! Currently,..NO longer has Associate attorneys, FIVE gone in one year including the newest partner who had been with the firm for 16years. ALL of Morris-Sockle-Posadas clientele were blindsided, stunned and left hanging,.. additionally not even the "promised help or response" ever materialize indicated in the "personal" clientele letter sent from my departed counsel. It was a screw over on an epic level. The event of this law firms' business of complete implosion at the 1st of Jan 2024, resulted in "morris-sockle" sending out a "so sorry letter",.. stating: "Due to unforeseen circumstances,.. we will be filing a NOTICE OF INTENT TO WITHDRAW, and no longer providing representation for family law matters". The feelings I really want to say and post,... would violate google terms. For nearly 4+ months, the morris sockle website indicated "they were not accepting any clients", nor have there any new associate attorneys ever hired. PS: ALL OF THE "5 STAR REVIEWS" SEEN HERE ON GOOGLE REVIEWS have come from clients that worked with attorneys and support staff,.. that are NO LONGER EMPLOYEES at Morris-Sockle. RUN,.. DONT BOTHER WITH MORRIS -SOCKLE EVER,.. OR PAUL POSADAS THAT BAILED AND FAILED CLIENTELE WITH HOLLOW WORDS AND PHONY CARE OF PROMISES.

My counsel was ineffective and unprepared, at one point we were rebuked by the judge about our inappropriate court date scheduling. The lawyers excuse was that she was from a different county. Communication was terrible. Just days before a scheduled settlement hearing I emailed the office multiple times, called at least twice and finally drove to the office in failed attempts to contact the team. After the hearing I was informed my lawyer had personal issues and couldn't represent me. This was about 6 weeks before our court date. She assured me the firm partners would take my case. Days later she called and said everyone was too busy and the firm was dropping my case. Of course they collected all of their charges. Then, the firm dropped almost all of their clients without notice. They are greedy, unethical and dishonest.

Female clients beware! This is a law firm that represents men in divorce. I found that out the hard way when I asked Mr. Stookey to represent me. I was not at all pleased with the representation I received from Mr.Matthew Stookey and Nancy Hull. The only thing he provided was having my husband served with divorce papers. When I went to him with questions and suggestions he would constantly tell me his opinion why my husband didn’t or wouldn’t have to do something. It made me feel like he had my husbands best interest at heart and represented him in this case instead of me. He was less than kind and very unprofessional and down right mean. I feel he is a misogynist. I did everything he asked and followed his guidance or I should say lack thereof and towards the end of him representing me he went against everything he was suggesting and guiding me to do. This is not the only time I have had to seek legal representation. But this experience was by far the worst. I hope for the sake of other woman, he does not represent them. Even the front of the building says “Divorce attorneys for men”. Please find representation elsewhere!

The attorney DLFM referred us to did a horrible job and messed up our case. $40k and 1.5 years in and have only even had one hearing. We found a new lawyer who actually responds to us and doesn't let the other party walk all over them, doesn't ignore the Guardian at Litem, etc. We've emailed 3 times in the last 3 months asking Morris-Sockle to refund the $750 left of our retainer. They can send us billing statements every month saying we have $750 left, but don't respond to requests to have it refunded since we fired them months ago.

I am forever grateful for the work put in by Matt and Nancy in my case. They were professional and prepared and kept me up to date with every development throughout. Best of all, they were able to meet every goal at every hearing and get me everything I was asking for. Thank you, Matt and Nancy!

Run, run, run. This is your official warning about Morris- Sockle. You may be strained finding an attorney in the Olympia area, but turning to them will only be a waste of your money and valuable time. I was charged for work they didn’t do and conversations that did not take place. I was also charged for “busy work” by the paralegal who wasn’t even able to provide the completed form for which they billed me. My attorney quit the firm after 2 months with almost nothing done. I tried giving this firm the benefit of the doubt and was reassigned to another attorney but same paralegal. Although the new attorney was better with communication, the overall attitude of the firm is that they own you cuz there’s not many options available in the area. Over the course of about 4 months I had absolutely nothing done, had paid over $1500 against my retainer and then they shorted me on the refund from the trust, even after I had spoken to my attorney and he said it would be handled correctly. The Morris-sockle firm is as slimy as they come. They are unprofessional, dismissive and you’ll even catch a massive attitude from Andrea who answers the phone. Due to how bad they were I had to reach out to the Seattle market to find decent representation. I would choose to represent myself over going with this firm because at least I can’t rob myself. You’ve been warned. Good luck on your search and Morris sockle- GFY. Your firm is clearly on the downhill hence why you have your good attorneys leaving.

I have been working with Brandon on and off over the last 4 years and he is by far the best attorney I've ever worked with. Not only is he good at what he does, but he is kind and personable. He genuinely cares about the people he works with and makes sure they receive the most accurate information available. One of my favorite qualities about Brandon is he is not a "yes-man". He will not tell you can win, when he doesn't think you can. He is honest and up front about the risks and benefits, lets you make the choice, then does the very best he can to make it happen. I would recommend Brandon to anyone 10/10 times. Always a great experience!
