John Vermitsky is my oldest friend, and will remain one of my closest friends until the day I die. I wanted my review of John to be different, not just the typical “he is an excellent lawyer and did great for us”. This is 100% absolutely the case, but there is more to the story. This review is something I have waited a very long time to write as I couldn’t really find the appropriate words to express what I feel for him and to show my appreciation. There are tens of thousands of great lawyers in this country who know the law well and are great at what they do. So what is so different about John that separates him from all of them ? It is his heart, his soul and his character. A quick overview of case. Our school district denied our son with special needs the free and appropriate education he is entitled to and deserves. Education law at that time was not one of John’s specialties, but after our case, it certainly is. He fought for us against the school district for years in order to get us past monetary damages, and a future arrangement for our son who cannot be in the school setting based on his needs. Initially, my wife and I sought his advice after the school obtained all of our sons medical records without our permission. On that Zoom call he said “I realize you are upset and angry about this, but what is it that you really want ?”. To that my wife answered “the appropriate education that he deserves”. The rest is history. It was truly a David vs. Goliath situation. John was facing an attorney who worked for the school’s insurance company and specialized in education law. Her sole job was to defend school districts after they have done wrong by a student. Once the school district paid the deductable to the insurance company for their defense, there was and endless supply of resources they had to throw at the case. It was an emotional roller coaster for us, but John steadied us. There were many adversities along the way, and John fought hard to get us past every single one of them with remarkable confidence. We doubted things at times, but we never doubted John. We put our full faith in him. They were no match for John’s endless supply of energy and love for our family. John (David) won the day against the mighty school district (Goliath). Our son is now thriving with his new educational arrangement, and we know in our hearts that he would not be where he is today if it were not for John’s character and his unbelievable generosity to make it work for us financially. I was able to see John's incredible character from a young age. We transitioned from boys to men, single to married, and no kids to kids together. Here are some lifelong traits of John that make him an absolute beast of an attorney, and a truly great man. -He is an absolute work horse -He is a fierce competitor -His brain is wired for strategy -He is a winner and hates to lose -He is a fighter, a multiple degree black belt -He was born to be an attorney -He has a huge heart filled with kindness and compassion -He protects those who need it whether a great friend or stranger The type of law, type of case, specifics, etc. do not matter. It all comes down to who you have in your corner backing you. I truly feel sorry for whoever is on the opposing side when they have to face John. He will figure it out and find a way to win. Our family was lucky enough to have John in our corner, and if you have him in yours, you should consider yourself lucky too. God made John a special human. His wonderful parents helped shape him. His wife continues to shape him. John is filled with compassion, love, and fight for those who are in a time of need. We are forever grateful to him and his wonderful wife Natalie for their generosity and extreme care in our son’s case.

The receptionist was extremely unhelpful and uninformed. She offered ABSOLUTELY NO HELP. She made the decision whether or not our case should be heard. UNACCEPTABLE. If attorneys allow this behavior I'm not sure of their competence.

Benjamin Porter was extremely helpful with a ticket I'd received.
