I do not recommend this attorney based on our family’s experience. Please do not waste your money! Communication was extremely poor and getting updates required repeated calls and messages. Important information about the case was often shared at the last minute, including being told the day before court that prison was likely after previously discussing probation. That lack of preparation and transparency created unnecessary stress and made it very difficult to trust the process. When I left an honest review about these issues, I received a response that felt more like a threat to “air dirty laundry” than a professional attempt to address concerns. That only reinforced my concerns about professionalism. Families going through situations like this deserve clear communication, honesty, and respect. Unfortunately, that was not our experience.

These guys are great! Well versed in the law, since they’ve done it for so long… they have experience from all sides and they know how to defend you when you need it. I got a great outcome on some bad looking charges, and I’m thankful for that! Thank you Joseph and Joel!!

Had too much fun one night and got the book thrown at me. These guys were the most professional criminal lawyers in the Tyler area that I interviewed, so subsequently they were hired and I am looking forward to a quick and fair outcome to my cases!

Should be zero stars! I would not waste a penny of your money here. They make promises of what they will do but don’t follow through and keep those promises. From the office staff to the lawyers, you’re lucky if you ever get a response from anyone. Never return phone calls, emails, nor texts. It felt as if we had to advocate and investigate for ourselves. Due to their advice, it left absolutely no one to testify at trial and no one to even watch the trial. We were withheld from watching trial all week with promises we were to testify only to be told the night before they advised against us testifying. We often showed up unnecessarily due to lack of communication on their behalf. They did nothing to fight for my family even after sinking $30,000 to them, which included hiring a PI, which didn’t happen until a week before trial. I suspect all the decent reviews never went to trial, however, we got the full trial experience and would definitely never recommend them to represent anyone I know ever again. Their “job” was sloppy and nonexistent essentially. They didn’t even rebuttal or fight for my family at all.

This is the firm to hire, plain and simple for any type of criminal transgression in Smith County. Both Mr. Murphy and Mr. Baker walked me through a life changing trial where the entire world seemingly was against me in every fashion imaginable. The court room experience pre-trail and especially during the trial was nothing short of amazing in its execution, professionalism and attention to detail. I truly felt like this firm rolled up its sleeves and protected me against everything possible being hurled my way. This is the only firm to call if you truly want experienced fighters on your side!! I was very pleased with the service provided. The original charges were DWI and Assault (Domestic). Blood alcohol concentration was .19, more than twice the limit. I was more concerned with the Assault. The victim met with the attorneys and gave a statement, and they were able to get the Assault dropped down to a Class C misdemeanor with no conviction. Probation was not an option for the DWI due to a prior felony conviction, but they were able to negotiate a week in jail. That was a win!
