Diligent, professional, grabs adversity by the horns and fights for what's right.Grants your business and yourself the sense of defense that is honest, truthful and restores the confidence that there is someone who will defend your rights against anyone or anything un-just and restores all confidence in this great Countries justice system when all hope is lost.. Newman and Lickstein LLP. define consumer protection and litigation. I wouldn't consider or trust any other Law Firm to refer. Truly, Jianni C Settineri Coastal Allocations Halston J. Association

I've been working with Steve & his team for several years now, for both my personal legal needs and that of several companies. He's trustworthy and honest, hardworking and responsive. Very highly recommended.

Scott was ok to work with until I gave a $1,000 retainer. Next thing I know, I receive a draft of a divorce filing, as plaintiff, and it looked like it was written by a toddler. I called and said, “is this for real” and asked that it be proofread and reprinted and received nothing. 6 months later when I left paperwork on the house for my ex to sign, because I did not want to interact with him in person, as he was an abusive alcoholic , (all this being done by me, not my lawyer), I guess that took 3 hours of his time at $250 each hour. I was told my retainer is gone, I asked for an itemized bill and got nothing. My ex’s lawyer calls last week to inquire and Scott says that he knows nothing and is not representing me, all that was required was to proofread the new agreement, that his lawyer had typed up, just for my protection.... He pretended to not know me. I’m a single mom who works so hard and this lawyer treated me awful.he has no respect, no empathy and does not care to even just simply show me where my money went. Dropped me like yesterday’s garbage when retainer supposedly ran out. Now, I’m a defendant in the case, with no help in simply reviewing the final agreement, let alone actually filing for a divorce.

My experience with this law firm was good until I paid the $1500 retainer that they requested. Unfortunately, my experience after that point was not good. Although I was frustrated in multiple aspects of my experience with the firm, my main reasons for this review are as follows: - I was significantly over-billed (the retainer that I paid was not applied) and I did not receive an invoice that was an important part of the billing history. When I asked about it, I was told that they had sent a prior billing statement (which I did not receive). When I asked that a copy of the communication to be forwarded to me, I did not receive it and had to follow up again. I never received the original communication that they had supposedly sent, but they did send a new invoice that credited me for the retainer. - When I asked for an estimate on how much time it would take to complete a topic, I was told that it would take 1hr to complete. After I requested that they not spend any more than 1hr total on the topic, they charged me for 2hrs of time for that topic. When I followed up to explain that I was expecting to be charged for 1hr based on the prior communication regarding the topic, they only partially credited me for the extra time that I was charged for.

Take the time to read this post. I met Scott Lickstein in 2008. I use him for Real Estate and evictions. Not only is he a good lawyer, dedicated, caring, funny and works super hard for you. Best of all, he answers all his calls and emails you back the same day. If you are looking for an attorney who knows what he is doing then give him a call. I cant thank him enough for all these years of WONDERFUL service. His paralegal Maggie is just as good and super friendly. She gets the job done and easy to work with. A job well done by all!!!
