Amy R. Was my attorney and she went over and beyond for me my mom and gma. Getting us off a case that should have never had us on it. This program is busy and seems to have limited staff for all the cases going on. I am super impressed and will refer them to people. Thank you so much!!

I’m incredibly grateful to the team at the Northwest Justice Project for the help they gave me during a very stressful eviction case. I felt completely overwhelmed trying to navigate the legal system on my own, and their guidance made all the difference. Attorney Craig was extremely helpful throughout the process and took the time to explain everything clearly so I could understand what was happening. I’m also very thankful for the support and oversight of Senior Attorney Chris Brunetti, whose involvement through their office helped ensure the case was handled properly. Because of their attention to the legal details and the way the case was handled, the eviction was ultimately overturned. That outcome truly changed the course of my situation, and I honestly don’t believe I could have achieved that result without their help. Organizations like Northwest Justice Project provide an incredibly important service to the community. They give people a chance to stand up for themselves in complicated legal situations when they otherwise might not have the resources to do so. I’m deeply thankful for the work they do and for the help they gave me when I needed it most.

So far I have been trying to call for over a month. I finally got ahold of somebody last week and they told me they would call on Monday. But no one has. We haven't heard anything from anyone. I will update when we finally hear from someone. EDIT: still no phone call. Still have not heard a peep.

If I could leave zero stars, I would. NJP is a complete farce and doesn't offer any legal services to the low income Spokane population. It's a marketing scheme to secure funding for whoever runs the organization. The "CLEAR Project" is only a few individuals and they cherry pick a handful of cases to approve for NJP. I've called in every day for 6 months during the specified time and every single time I get the same message about "call volumes are too high". It's a scam. We are on our own against whoever is harassing or attacking you. Good luck ✊

When I called them, they said they were too busy and I never received a call back from them.

Never contacted me the day of court, not before and not after. I was told I'd be contacted, but no, they just got rid of me as fast as they could.

I've repeatedly been referred to them, and upon contacting the NJP, I've repeatedly ended up very disappointed. Simply put, upon contacting them as (in recent years) both indigent and legally disabled individual (and target/victim of many years of documented abuse by narcissistic sociopath ex-wife, her many enablers, and ultimately the state of WA itself; matters to be addressed in federal court and with DOJ very soon), not once did Northwest Justice Project provide any kind of real legal assistance or even useful legal referrals. They have pretty cumbersome processes, very restricted hours when a live person would even answer one's call, and then, after trying/waiting many times and eventually getting to talk to someone and do an over-the-phone-intake, literally nothing came out of it... Repeatedly. Low-income residents of this massively corrupt, lawless state need and deserve better legal resources to be able to fight back the abuse, discrimination and tyranny.

When you make a phone call to the hotline you have to catch a gap between phone calls redial redial redial that's how you get through if they can help you they will or they will show you how to help yourself I'm having trouble finding a lawyer that will take on Goliath in Spokane county

I'm leaving the building now. As soon as I walked in the lady at the desk was sitting on her phone as soon as she seen me she rolled her eyes and let out a big airy huff and said hold on a second to the person she was talking to. She handed me a piece of paper and said that if I needed any assistance I would have to call the number and keep trying. I told her that I've been trying for months and I haven't been able to get ahold of anybody and she says well just keep trying that's all I can say .a lot of people need help. It felt like she couldn't get me out of the office fast enough. Not sure where the justice is in that. I truly hope that if she ever really needs help she gets somebody exactly like her with the exact same attitude.

Thank you for this feedback. We are sorry to hear about your experience. We are committed to reducing barriers to accessing legal services, but unfortunately, we don’t have sufficient staffing in all our offices to offer immediate intake. We do have several ways people can apply for services. CLEAR is our centralized intake hotline, and you would need to call 1-888-201-1014 weekdays between 9:15 am - 12:15 pm. We will determine if you are eligible for our services, which are focused on problems that affect basic needs such as housing, income, medical care, and family safety. You can also fill out an online intake form (https://nwjustice.org/apply-online) if you have one of these issues: eviction, debt, government benefits, or special education. If you are facing eviction, you can call our Eviction Defense Screening Line (855-657-8387). Due to limited resources, lawyers and paralegals are not able to assist every caller, but we do our best to assist in any way that we can.

Calling them can be difficult, however, using the online system was great. I received a call within a week!

I wish I could remember the lawyers name (Verna? Veronica?) helped me through a difficult conundrum trying to get my driver’s license back after YEARS of trying to find out why my license got suspended. She handled it in literally one phone call. Even more, she PAID for the back fee of a court no-show for a speeding ticket in a different state! Absolutely recommend!! Thank you so much again and I’m so sorry I can’t remember the name!
