I have been attempting to contact the IRS and have not been able to get through regarding an important matter that has a deadline. I had a few employment tax questions and called several law offices to try and get some answers....Attorney Bob answered the phone and was extremely helpful (even though it was not his area of expertise), patient and thorough. I would absolutely recommend him and use this law office in the future!

I contacted Bob regarding a huge but erroneous state tax assessment. He said he'd starting working on it immediately, and he meant it! He got in touch with the state revenue office and had everything fixed and the whole matter settled within a few hours of my first call with him. Very impressive performance. Highly recommended.

As a result of a divorce settlement, my daughter was given title to the family house. Unfortunately, the title transfer was tied up in an appeal. While in appeal, her spouse failed to pay income taxes resulting in State and Federal tax liens on the property. We contacted one of the more prominent tax relief services. They were very encouraging, took our money, but failed to deliver. We were about to give up when we decided to give it one more try. Through a web search, we learned about O'Connor & Lyon, LLP. Their web site said they had extensive experience in tax law. They were also located in CT where my daughter lives. The tax liens on the property were both State and Federal. We called Attorney Lyons and discussed the situation. He was very encouraging and thought we had a good case for tax relief. Havng gone through this before, we were skeptical but decided to try again, this time retaining Attorney Lyons. After gathering background information on the divorce settlement, IRS communications and the like, Attorney Lyons drafted a letter to the IRS requesting relief. It was extremely well-written. The letter went point-for-point through the timeline of the divorce, the tax debt, and the basis upon which the IRS should grant relief. Although we did not know what would be the final outcome, our skepticism was lessened. We felt Attorney Lyons had grasped the situation and made the best case possible for relief. Our opinion was confirmed when the IRS approved full relief. We could not be more pleased with the professionalism, expert tax knowledge, and speed with which Attorney Lyons handled this case. The fees were most reasonable. O'Connor and Lyons felt more like a concierge service rather than a run-of-the-mill tax relief service. I would strongly recommend O'Connor and Lyons for anyone seeking tax relief.
