Update: The case is settled, and I'm pleased with the outcome. Rich was great in explaining the entire process to me, answering my questions, and negotiating the settlement. I got rear ended for the 2nd time in less than 2 years. The first time around I didn't have any problems with insurance paying the bills, but this time they tried to deny my claim. It was pretty infuriating because my injuries were a little more complicated this time and I had more doctors involved as well as an MRI. Their reviewer didn't even request an in person exam, they basically just used covid as an excuse to have some quack write a really insulting bad review and use that to deny my claim. Luckily, someone I trust recommended Mr. O'Dea to represent me. I was looking at some other lawyers that seemed to have better marketing showing the large settlements they'd gotten. In a lot of those cases, all it is is marketing, trying to lure you in with the hopes of getting rich. But in reality you end up getting handled by some lower level associate and they make you feel like they are doing you a favor by even having time to work with you. If I had chosen one of them I probably wouldn't have gotten anything and the lawyers would have kept it all some how. Mr. O'Dea was very professional. He knows what he's doing, and he does a really good job of handling all the details and paperwork as well as making good arguments and negotiations. Communicating with him has been very easy, I haven't had any issues getting in touch or having to wait on hold or dealing with assistants or anything like that. I never felt like I was dealing with some big shot lawyer too good to have time for me. I always felt like Mr. O'Dea was just a regular honest guy just trying to help people in bad situations. Whether or not you get a large settlement is going to have to do with what exactly happened in your situation. And whether or not you actually keep any of that money is going to have to do with how honest your lawyer is and how good they are a keeping expenses down. But whether it's a crazy multi million dollar situation, or just a few grand Mr. O'Dea does good honest work and will handle it well.
