Goz Odediran is the lawyer you want on your team if you are a student facing a university disciplinary proceeding. Goz is a skilled negotiator with deep knowledge of the internal disciplinary processes of different universities. They are not like court proceedings. Most lawyers are not familiar with university disciplinary proceedings. Many lawyers are ineffective in assisting students and may even make the situation worse. Goz helped our family successfully appeal the dismissal (expulsion) of our son from medical school in the final year of his MD/PhD program. I only wish we had called Goz as soon as the school requested a “meeting” with him. We learned the hard way that universities are expelling students for minor offenses. Do not wait… call Goz right away if you are a student accused of any type of infraction. Do not respond to any school communications yourself – let Goz do the talking. She is excellent.

II highly recommend Goz Odediran as an education rights attorney. She was referred to us, and we hired her to help us with an extremely difficult situation for our family. My daughter was facing expulsion with no evidence except the word of 2 other students. We didn’t have much time to gather evidence, but we had enough. She helped to prepare our daughter and she answered all our questions very quickly and efficiently. We did not originally win our case, not due to lack of evidence, the school hearing was a complete joke and they did not listen to our case. They put an 80 yo woman as the moderator and she wasn’t listening, and I’m convinced she was told to side with the school. However, something happened after the 504, and Goz called right away and said our case was overturned! The school knew they were in the wrong! Goz is kind and compassionate and will do anything in her power to get you the best outcome. She follows up and has stayed in touch with us.

Just didn't seem like she was engaged in connecting me with contingency lawyer to review my case even though she implied she could have someone review my case before I signed. She's passionate and has a good track record from the looks of it so maybe university cases aren't a strong area for her.

Goz was fabulous! She understood our issues and the challenges. She wrote an extremely thorough (25 pages) letter to the University and they immediately agreed to clear up my son's transcripts, despite their unwillingness to even review the situation when we reached out to them.
