I had reached out to Karen last year. We talked on the phone and I immediately liked her. I was asked to sign a form agreeing to retain her and sent in some of my paperwork. I didnt here anything back so I emailed her again and still no reply. At that time it was close to the holidays so I figured Id wait till after to pursue anything. I let it drag out longer than necessary and was in a really bad spot. Thinking back to our conversation I decided to reach out again. I spoke with her legal assistant and set up an appointment. I was a nervous wreck going in, but finally felt hopeful. Again I signed the contract, gave my financial information only to get a call next day telling me they weren't going to work with me stating she her case load was to high to take my case. I felt defeated. I felt angry. I drove 45 mins there and back. Now I had to do the same drive to obtain all my paperwork which they kept at the meeting the day before. I had to take time off of work to get this all done so I lost not just time but money and I now I am back at square one. I understand that you want to get a feel of the case, but that could have been done over the phone and if your case load is already high, why bother having the appointment and keeping my documents only for me to come back. Upon entering the office no one even greets you either. I waited 10 mins in the lobby before walking down the hallway to find them just sitting in the office after buzzing me in. Very disappointed in the whole experience.
